I’d take that group at that age in a heartbeat going into the season.

As someone who started watching them in 1970, I can’t argue the point; it’s an illustration and an indication (and an indictment) of how bad the Mecom ownership was.

We started at about the same time. The franchise is still run so much better than when Mecom owned it.

The year after he got his contract he set the NFL record for receptions in a season.

Fans love to conveniently forget this little tidbit. Signs the extension before the 2019 season starts. He then proceeds to have the best season for a WR at that point. Gets hurt in 2020 early in the season, and tried to play through, with the blessing of the medical staff, to try and help Drew go out on a high note. That offseason something happened, or he just hit his breaking point, with him and the team; and he turned into the fan favorite to hate on.

I'd go with Hilgenberg at C and Wayne Martin over Will Smith at DE, but other than that, pretty solid...

REALLY good list. I could bicker about a few positions, but I'm going to show my age and push for WR Wes Chandler. You can certainly claim he had even better stats when he went to SD with Fouts at QB. He played hard for the Saints & he was one of my favorites of that era.

Tony Galbreath should have a spot as a backup. Big back who could catch out if the backfield

I like it. Young ones don't know how good of a player Child was. I'd take Archie over Brees, just because he turned into a leftist pussy.

Eric Martin at WR
Gene Atkins at S
Or Dave Waymer or Toi Cook or Robert Massey
Dalton Hilliard
Wayne Martin was a beast on the d line

Get Jabari Greer outta there and agree that Unger is also not worthy

Man, Mark Ingram shouldn't be slept on. And from a pure talent standpoint, Michael Thomas is the obvious man out.
