Downs would mostly be used as a 3rd safety mostly at nickel.
Then definitely not worth the 8th pick.

The good news is this is smoke screen season.
Believe none of what you hear and less of what you read.

It's possible one of the first round prospects relative met Jeffrey Epstein near a street in a major US city.

Loomis feels confident since I have been a Bain supporter lately.

Bain is one of those that looks dominant when on...but had a tendency to disappear, especially against better competition. That tendency worries me when you combine it with his questionable measurables at this level.
Feels more like a solid starter than game changer edge

I doubt if anyone from the Saints with a say in the draft is telling anyone who they actually like and don’t like at this point in time
Payton used to be VERY open with it, and blab about it to everyone that would listen, especially on golf courses
A guy who posts on here sporadically that I also know personally knew about several of them in advance, including the trade up for Marcus Davenport. Told me about it I think the day of or before the draft, and there it was

He played well in the playoffs (and this is coming from someone who wants nothing to do with Bain at 8).
My issue with Bain is consistency of production, his measurables, and the fact that he avoided speed/agility tests like the fricking plague.
I do like his motor, but I am not drafting a guy at 8 because he has a motor. There are too many flags that scream bust potential for ME at 8. If the FO and coaching staff love him at 8, then I will definitely hope for the best and cheer for the guy……..but I will definitely be screaming I told you so if he’s a bust
I hope I’m wrong if he is the pick though

True, he told everyone one time after getting drunk on the golf course they were gonna draft Ingram that year.

Agree with all this.
I don’t think he will be a bust. I just think he will be a good edge setting run defender that will have issues playing against high level technicians. He won’t get a lot of sacks. He likely won’t get tons of pressures. He’s just limited. That’s not what I want at pick 8.

well then hopefully he goes in the top 7, i prefer a no risk starter.

He killed someone
She died because she wasn't wearing her seatbelt. everyone wise was wearing theirs. As the driver he should have insisted she wear hers, but he was 19 years old.
It was a tragic accident but to say "He Killed Someone" is a slanderous misrepresentation.

I disagree. In today’s iteration of the NFL, is pretty common for defenses to swap out a LBer for a Safety in their base formation. Having 3 starting caliber Safeties is really critical.

This would be more concerning if it was coupled with other character flags that create a trend that he’s an a-hole but I’m not sure that’s the case.

I disagree, there’s a few players I think will be really good, maybe not great but will be almost no risk.
Delane, Love, Tate, Styles, Downs.

That this is your reaction to someone being killed tells us all we need to know about you

Agreed. Just because he was sited for reckless driving does not mean he was necessarily doing anything crazy or different than what any of us do on the road. We really need more info before casting judgement. So far it’s just a wreck and a ticket.

He’d be on the field for the vast majority of the snaps, lol.
