Yeah...I feel like people here think the Saints are generally strong in the draft. Maybe it is all relative as I don't really follow other teams' drafts. But outside of 2016-17 drafts, the Saints have not done all that well, esp. considering they often leverage future picks to move up every year.

I really like Alontae Taylor. Kris Richard will work wonders with him.

I will say there is still talent on the board.

Salyer and badie just got picked. Saints could've used both of those players.

Completely false and ridiculous take. This draft was fantastic for the saints.

It all depends on how well they culturally adjust to be drafted in higher rounds.

We will know at the start of the season. If any of our post first rounders are on active roster game one, and our two firsts are starting,

It was a great draft.

And there is no media expert whose prospect rankings can guess that more accurately than an NFL front office.

I think it was a great draft

Isn't a big part of that the 2 first rounders?

We gave up a bunch of picks to get those players.

No first next yr. You have to factor that in.

I do think both players in the first will hit and be starters.

They did well in 19 with McCoy and Chauncey. Last year added Adebo and Werner too. That’s four high level starters.

This narrative is pretty ridiculous, solely because of an irrational hate for Davenport and not hitting on a late round pick, which isn’t common at all.

There’s still time for Ruiz and Trautman to turn it around. Baun is a core special teamer, and Payton Turner looks like he’ll be a solid player if he can stay on the field.

You’re not going to draft all-pros every year.

You can’t say that here. If it’s not 100% sunshine it’s wrong and we’re all stupid and not the experts.

Yep.

I realized that. You get shite on if you think one player is better than who the saints picked.

I mean you cant realistically expect them to keep the bulk of their picks year in and year out. Especially on a team thats pretty talented in key spots.

Id rather quality over quantity anyway. By no means am i saying we always get quality but i also have no problem packaging picks to get guys they want.
