re: Zion needs to bare some of the blame

I don't know why people get so upset by all this. If Zion goes it's not the end of the world. We'll find other players and start again. We can fire Griffin, flip Zion and Ingram, then do a total rebuild properly..

The problem is you’re generally screwed unless you hit Yahtzee. You need a transcendent talent plus other really good supporting players. Borderline super team.
The Bucks aren’t what I would call a super team but Giannis, Middleton and Holiday is pretty frickin amazing compared to anything 95% of the rest of the teams have.
The Pelicans have two really good pieces in Ingram and Zion. It’s their fault if they can’t build a team around them.
Look at Orlando. We don’t even have 1 player. New Orleans is like 80% of the way there to being really competitive. If they can’t find 20% to get them over the hump, that’s completely on them.

All Zion needed to do is come out and say anything ... just provide some clarity.

If the Zion family story doesn't come out, I think we are in much better shape.
If Zion had come out and said that story is fricking bullshite, we would be in better shape.
But he said nothing at all. And here we are.

I don't think Lowry or Paul or Dinwiddie or THJ or whoever were our options before we fell back on Graham would have changed their mind and came to New Orleans if Zion made a comment and said he's happy here.

Say what? Some disingenuous bullshite? One’s intelligence would come into question if you believed any sunshine pumping from Zion. Nothing has went well. The whole league has been watching this play out. There is no controlling the narrative with this.
This is the third chance to put talent around a generational piece. Go win games and see how quickly things change

See Phoenix. Booker was one of the players we thought of as a possible War Chest target 2 years ago.

He can feel great about this offseason and we play 7 games under .500. He can feel shite about this offseason and we nab the 6 seed. Ultimate, winning is all that matters.

“If you want to be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you
A pretty woman makes her husband look small
And very often causes his downfall
As soon as he married her and then she starts
To do the things that will break his heart”
That’s the sad truth of it with Zion and New Orleans.

Here's to hoping Willie can get buy in and Graham helps bring in some great leadership. As of right now, we are in a little bit of disarray but we a solid core with pieces moving forward. Win and we can change this perspective.
The saints were DOGSHIT for DECADES. Yes we got lucky with Brees, but we have to think the league will put us in a different light if we can prove we can win. I realize the NFL is not the same as the NBA where players have a lot more power, but a mid market team just won the championship. It's possible.

trae young and atlanta was starting to feel that way.
going to become guys like zach lavine this season if chicago doesn't win.
now look at bradley beal, damian lillard, etc.
winning cures 99% of the woes, unless you're AD or KD

Zion is too busy sliding into DMs and hitting 3s off the court than he is on the court.
Strange thing to say. How can someone hit 3s off the court?
Who’s dms has he been “sliding into” I hate that phrase

I am starting to think of Zion just like I did AD ... frick this passive aggressive shite. Either man up and run the goddamn team, or fricking shut up
You have to demand it of yourself before you can demand it of anyone else. Zion is softer than AD. And can't even come close to the Jordan/Bird/Magic/Bryant mentality and will to win, which drove those and a few others to be great.
He'd rather cut and run than take on the mantle of leadership. If the organization can't see that, then hopefully Willie Grean does, and can pull him aside and lay it out for him.

Can we stop calling it the " war chest". That shite is so stupid.

Y’all eat this dumb shite up. The onus is on Griffin to put a competitive roster together. This organization has earned no good will amongst its players. It’s been a shite show for years and especially Zion’s first two seasons.
Zion has put out one of the most historical first 85 games ever. There is no blame on him. GTFOH
