BI should be better than he is. He should be a top 15 player with his type of archetype. He was so freaking good his first couple of seasons in NOLA. Doesn’t really make sense why he hasn’t progressed beyond the player he was.

Raptors seem to be interested in BI. Trying to pry away their 25' 1st for BI/ Herb and helping them move RJ may get us somewhere.

Although that 25' 1st is a very good pick, pairing Herb with Scottie and adding BI could be tempting.

If I was the Raptors I'd do that and make a move for Claxton.

Quickley/ Herb/ BI/ Scottie/ Claxton. You have to start getting Scottie help or move him if he won't be in your timeline. That would be a serious defensive built team.

No clue who this guy is, but it's the kind of thing you like to hear.

BI was the biggest victim of Willie Green's system or lack thereof. Willie always talks about pace and ball movement and spacing, but he never does anything meaningful to adjust to it. He then adjusted his system to fit the Point Zion actions, but he just left it at that. The offense never developed countermoves or even ways to incorporate those actions into a cohesive system.

The system drives ball dominance, and BI is often our only consistent initiator healthy, so he ends up playing point Ingram, which is absolutely not how he should be used. Our system and roster requires it for large portions of his minutes, so he develops habits based on that role. Then Zion comes back and you ask Ingram to become a drive and kick secondary facilitator. Oh, but Zion isn't in shape yet, so we also need him to run point Ingram for a few more weeks.

Are we sure Lebron isn't available? That would be a really interesting pair with Curry to give them both one last shot.

Lebron/Curry >>> Lebron/Luka

I’m not sure what you mean by that. BI has been one of the more consistent players in the league over his 6 years here. The only real difference was his dip in three point attempts the past couple of years, but this year it jumped to more than he’s ever taken. He’s been a machine, right around 25, 6 and 6 per 36 minutes.

Injuries always seem to affect perception. Out of sight, out of mind. But teams will regret not jumping on the opportunity to get BI, and we will miss him.

People have short term memory loss. They are unable to comprehend or remember that this issue arose from CBA/ salary issues and has little to with BI's actual abilities.

That and the emergence of Trey Murphy and his extension.

Though I’m going to be honest, I’m a bit concerned that I am agreeing with you.

No NBA team views BI as "low value"

They do view him as "high cost"

People just assume that if your cost is high that your value is low and teams aren't interested.

Its all about what it "cost" the team to acquire BI not what BI's abilities cost

I'll be honest, I get concerned sometimes too when I agree with myself.

If I’m remembering right Portland wanted Zion and Charlotte wanted Ingram.

you don’t watch ball. He’s been playing great for the last two months on that shithole cancerous Portland team and even if he sucked id rather have a shitty player on a rookie contract than BI still fricking up our tank and Treys development.

Unfortunately for us though he hasn't been consistently on the court playing actual basketball.

Marc Spears puts 50/50 odds on a BI trade and drops that CJ wants a new extension CJ wrote a series of articles for Spears his first year as a Pel, so he probably heard that direct from CJ.
