Win Friday, get BI value up more in the playoffs then trade him

14th pick and the 16 or 17th pick isn't much different.

If we lose on purpose for the 14th pick, just move the franchise already.

There's nothing we get from the playoffs without Zion that would be better than 7 slots higher in the draft IMO.

This is the true difference maker, if you believe BI is capable of this.

Of course the flipside is Griffin sees BI playing well and says "See, this is a guy who can do this, we will make it work"

I don't care about the rationality of getting a better pick.

I'm fricking sick of not being in the playoffs, and if you give a shite about the players on this team you'll want them to make it. Too many dudes busted arse all fricking year to go from the fricking 4th seed two fricking weeks ago to taking a fricking vacation in April

To be fair, there's only like 5.5 players that I really give a shite about (Zion, CJ, Herb, Jonas, Jose and sometimes Trey) and one of them is out until next season.

I like hawkins too but we never see him play. Dyson was showing us something as well.

I care about the team as a whole more than the individual players to be fair. You’re right in the short term view; long term view the higher draft pick and major changes need to be made. That happens if we miss the playoffs not make them.

If we could merge them together, I'd care about that player.

Although with Pels luck, we'd merge Dyson's offense with Hawk's defense and sign that player to a max.

Honestly they both need playing time. If we can’t give that to them- then trade them to make this team better.

Hawk got his playing time and hit a rookie wall in the worst way.

I'm not worried about him longterm, he's a net negative for the team right now though.

Dyson, I'd entertain a trade for him if we could swindle someone on thinking his offense can improve, because I'm not sure he'll ever be anything more than a pseudo-Tony Allen. If there are no clear upgrades though, I'm fine with him being on the roster as Herb foul insurance.

It would be the 14th vs the 21st. Once you get in the playoffs its only about record and since we have 49 wins we'd be ahead of a lot of those east teams. Still not a huge difference.

This is not what pels WILL do. Its what we want to happen.

This organization will be better if we miss the playoffs not make them. Not just the draft pick but maybe added pressure to make some needed changes.

you should... it's how you build a better roster, so you can actually BE in the playoffs, rather than having to PLAY IN to the playoffs...

i feel your frustration.... we all do.... but the best interest of the team, right this moment, is losing friday, missing the playoffs and drafting 7 slots higher.... gives you that much more collateral to construct a stronger, deeper roster

bro, we all are..... this "superfan" shite you trying to pull is all fine and dandy, but it ain't gonna make the situation any better... we are in the position we are in, it is what it is.... the short sighted "i just wanna make the playoffs" is just that... short sighted... long term, its better to build a better roster, hopefully get a better head coach, and then proceed with Zion as our foundation to build upon and around....

you can thank Willie fricking Green for that... he's one of the worst gameday coaches in the league, and if we don't move on from him, we will be in the EXACT SAME SPOT for as long as he is here.... this is our ceiling with Willie Green as our HC

that would be difference of getting these players, taken 14th or later but before 21st, or not getting them b/c they were picked before:
'18-- Michael Porter Jr, DiVicenzo, Huerter
'19-- NAW, Thybulle
'20-- Cole Anthony, Saadiq Bey, Precious Achiuwa
'21-- Moody, Kispert, Sengun, Trey Murphy, Tre Mann
'22-- Mark Williams, Tari Eason, Malaki Branham
'23-- Hawkins, Keyonte George, Jaquez, Podziemski, Whitmore

all of these dudes wouldn't have been available at 21, but would have been at 14... so yeah, there is a difference between 14 and 21

Bro I mean this with all due respect, and I do mean all due respect, but you can kindly suck my balls. I want to win. The draft is a fricking crapshoot. The percentages of picks that hit at a starter or role player are small percentage points with the difference of draft positions available to us.
