Why did the Pelicans ditch this jersey so quickly?

Don't get me wrong, I love the new City Edition jerseys, but I feel like the team just gave up on these. I'm also a little bitter since its the only jersey I currently have.

City Edition jerseys are only for one season. And I think the Consensus was these were pretty underwhelming

Oh I didn't realize they are only for one year. Hmm, I like the concept of them. Maybe they can rework it, and bring it back in some other form down the road.

IMO, those are the worst Jersey the Pels and probably the Hornets too have ever put on. They are horrendous. The hats were even worse, straight up looked like a clown hat.

I'm not a huge fan of the new jerseys but I like them more than those. Always thought they were cheap looking, like some high schooler in graphics class designed them.

I have this exact same jersey. It was the authentic jersey and got it for 60% off so I couldn’t pass on it. Not my fav but not the worst.

Agree. A different font would have made the jersey so much better. It's a cool concept with bad execution, but I'd rather have the mardi gras jerseys if only one alternate is allowed.

There haven’t been earned jerseys since Toní was on the team.
I still think our earned jersey is 1B next to the Perlis MG as 1A as best alternates. It took a while for this year‘s city jersey to grow on me but I think it fits well now. That crappy flag jersey is probably the worst in Hornets/Pelicans history next to the OKC Valentine’s Day jersey and sleeved MG. Hell, I’d prefer the Bucs retro over it.

Best jersey we’ve had in 20 years was the Creole blue white pinstripes that we wore in 06.
I’m in the group that still wishes Gayle would change the name and logos to the old New Orleans Voodoo stuff instead of the usual red/navy/white stuff that so many sports teams have. That woulda been a hit with everybody.
