With Trey's recent play i think it has to be herb.

CJ, BI, TM3, Z, Jonas should be the starters. The amount of space in that lineup should offset the defensive limitations

I think it's likely Willie keeps Herb in the starting lineup to defend the opposing team's best player. This also lets Trey be the offensive focus on our 2nd unit, while also feasting on 2nd units.

Murphy. But he'll be the first one off the bench and will likely sub in early for BI so BI can be staggered with Z.

It should be Herb but we all know it will be Trey.

There should never be a time where Trey is not the court with Zion imo

I think it should rotate between sitting herb and sitting jonas depending on who the big we are playing is. Herb has played small 5 and we know Z can too. It’s not like Jonas is a positive defender either.

y’all say this all the time but it never happens. Trey needs to stay in the starting lineup

Just like Willie saying Trey wouldn’t get his minutes reduced when JRich came on the team and took Treys starting spot for the first week. But his minutes did get reduced

Good question…I’d hesitate to take Trey out of rhythm since he’s been smoking hot lately and the Pels badly need that to balance the floor.

Herb has been shooting a (very little) bit better lately too, and that’s also key, so it’s a hard call.

Let’s just hope we get to see it, because if Z is healthy and the guys are playing to their potential the Pels are really good.

Trey but it won’t matter, he will still play starter minutes. Trey has cemented his place on this team.

Are you suggesting we should play Herb at the 5 with the starting lineup some nights? That is crazy talk to me, we'd be giving up a ton of strength, scoring ability especially and rebounding, and not be getting any additional shooting ability anyway.I can see doing it only in a staggered type Zion lineup say once CJ and BI go to the bench, as well as some of the opponents bigs or defenders. Also since Herb is best guarding the opponent's best scoring wing or guard, its lowering the defensive effectiveness of your most effective defender to put him on a big.

Probably Zion. He’ll reaggravate his hammy/knee/back/ankle/wrist and then walk back to his favorite chair.

Exactly what I was thinking. You can’t count on him, instead of disrupting chemistry, let him come in and wreck the 2nd teamers.

He is asking about two weeks into next season when the update says Zion might be ready to be evaluated for on court activities.

Seriously, considering the length of time he has been out why not consider letting Zion come back and be the offensive focus of our second unit? He still gets his minutes and is there at the end of course, just not in the opening lineup.

Please don’t confuse me with the stupid idiots in the “send his fat arse to the bench” crowd. I am more of a crazy idiot.

Z should go out first to be staggered with BI.

That’s what they did earlier in the season and it wasn’t great. The last time the Big 4 was healthy they changed it up and tied BI/Zion together and CJ/JV together as the first subs out and that worked well for the few games we saw it.
