Update: Verno is still salty about the Pellies

On the latest The Mismatch podcast, they were discussing playoff teams in a "level of belief scale" style, and he refused to say that the recent play has changed his belief in the Pels, and he basically argues we can't beat anyone in round 1.
Dude is not having a good time with Memphis being dogshit terrible and the Pellies being good finally. Every day is a bad day.

I’m loving the consistency of this team and overall professionalism, but what first round matchups do you feel confident in or that we would be favored in Vegas?

Nah, I just prefer honesty and realistic expectations. This whole thread is stating someone is salty about our team when we all KNOW the reality that we haven't beaten a solid team since the Clippers. It's just disingenuous to act like we aren't lucky with all these damn injuries piling up.

After our injuries over the last 5 seasons, I don’t expect anyone who follows this team to apologize for beating teams with injuries. I am just going to enjoy the hell out of it and continue praying that we stay healthy.

Barring some crazy streaks by someone, we are getting the Clip Clips in the first round, maybe as the 4 but probably as the 5. They come here on Friday. It will be a good barometer as to where they are right now. What any random talking head, or what Vegas says, is irrelevant.

Not saying that we should do anything other than attempt to win every game we can, but I would prefer to get the 6 seed and play Minnesota in the first round. And then potentially the Thunder in the second.

Thats just so hard to predict and manipulate. Next thing you know- you’re in the play-in. Just try to win every game and get the highest seed possible.
