I saw another report saying Phoenix's offers aren't coming close to what Brooklyn wants.

If Ayton and Anunoby are the best players getting put in these offers, at this point I'm thinking nothing happens. That's part of the benefit of having KD under contract for 4 years, they can wait.

I also can't see them trading Kyrie unless the Lakers give up enough to flip Westbrook for something better. They owe Houston their pick this season, so rolling out an unhappy KD/Kyrie is better than taking in bad contracts and winning 20 games.

Mitchell is better than anything else out there right now. Nets should be talking to Utah not Phoenix to find out what they’d need and put together a 3 teamer that sheds Durant and Simmons

THEN send Irving to the lakers, get rid of Harris (who will age like milk) and get those lakers picks

Maybe some crazy shite with the Nets, Jazz, Suns, and Lakers.

Nets:

Mitchell
Westbrook
Conley
Bridges
Cam
Picks

Suns:

Durant

Jazz:

Ayton
Harris
Nunn
Horton-Tucker
Reaves
Picks

Lakers:

Kyrie
Simmons

Nets needs to hold Kyrie hostage for AD. Simmons Durant and AD compliment each other tremendously

Kobe did this. A real leader tells KD to hold on.

No way the Lakers trade Davis for Irving.

I think it will be

Lakers get
Irving
Curry
Hield

Nets get
Turner
THT
McConnell

Pacers get
Westbrook
Harris
Lakers 2026 pick

Why do the Lakers do it?
Lakers get the best package of players

Why do the Nets do it?
Turner and THT compliment Durant very well. If Durant is traded Turner will be great at the five.

Why do the Pacers do it.
Pacers save 30 mil. Over next 3 years.

Pacers don’t want to rebuild and they will want more than a Lakers first if they eat $45m+ in shite contracts.

First of all, the Lakers can’t straight up trade their 2026 pick.

Even if they could, the Lakers get 3 of the best players and trade dogshit. Ok.

They could make it conditional based on what happens with the 2024 deferral.

If we defer to 2025, it becomes a 2027 pick.

The Hornets are expected to renounce Miles Bridges’ QO, making him a UFA.

Someone may make him a minimum offer but I figure he is gone for a season or two due to the league blackballing him.

The Hornets literally just became bad overnight

And a team like Detroit who was probably going to try and max Bridges, also won’t be nearly as good as they could’ve been with him.

Cade, Ivey, Bridges, Bey, Duren would have been a crazy core group.

Of course Bridges deserves getting blackballed, but the basketball fan in me would’ve liked it if this dude wasn’t such a piece of garbage and he would’ve ended up being on Detroit or stayed with Lamelo and continued to be one of the best fastbreak/lob duos in the league.

I’m not judging any team for passing on him.

Dude’s a dumbfrick because he not only did a disgusting thing, he did it when he was about to make the biggest contract of his career.

If free agency started even a week before this hits, he has a four or five year deal for huge money.

Yeah he shouldn’t be touched at this point. Definitely wasn’t advocating for that.

He’s a fun player though. League will miss his talent and highlights.

But definitely can’t overlook or condone what he did. He’s got to be out of the league for at least a year and that’s only if you are confident his currently fricked up mind can be rehabilitated enough to be a decent human being on and off the court.

I don't think so. They do not control their own picks for the next 5 years. Tough to rebuild on later 1st rounders that you cannot control the outcome of.

They should still be decent with Ball. They have some interesting pieces around him and some moves they can make. Without Bridges they have some money available too. I don't think they can resign either Bridges or Harrell with their legal problems.

This probably takes them out of the Westbrook hunt though. He would have been perfect for them so they could have dumped Heyward and Rozier or Oubre to free up cap space. Probably need to hang on to all 3 at this point.

There have been rumblings with Ball if they wanted to go full rebuild and tear it down. The GM just got an extension and they brought back the old coach so they aren't in any jeopardy if they have to start over.
