The Lakers would like Seth Curry over Joe Harris in a potential Kyrie Irving/Russell Westbrook deal, per @ChrisBHaynes
Yeah if lakers get either of those guys, lakers swap next year isn’t going to be as good as this year

Why would the nets do this?
Simmons AND Westbrick??
Simmons AND Westbrick??

They’re in tank mode and no one wants Kyrie I guess. Lakers about to get bailed out again

So the Lakers would be getting 2 really good players for Westbrook and trash? Who in their right minds do that shite wtf man

You can buyout or stretch kyrie for nothing or try get compensation for him. It’s limited trade partners for him

Nets I guess. I assume they’ll get the Lakers picks 5 years from now
Posted on 7/2/22 at 6:58 pm to Macintosh
Feels like the rest of teams in the should be pissed off if that happens smh

And that changes by getting Westbrook how?
You are in the same situation cash-wise yet you have also sent out other assets to dump his dumb arse.
If they are sending players out with Kyrie, they better get 26/27, 28/29 (depending on whether we take 24 or 25) and all swaps on years other than 23 out of it.

didn't the Nets already trade away the vast majority of their upcoming draft picks?
or am I thinking of another team?
if I was correct... what do they have to tank for?

Depending on protections, they still own their 23 pick. But that potentially got sent out to Utah a few days ago for Royce ONeal.

I’m shocked Miami or Dallas aren’t going for Kyrie harder. I know he’s a head case but Miami isn’t going to win a ring with that team. They need one more shot creator to help Jimmy

Damn the Warriors got Divencenzo?
That is rough and he should thrive there and take Paytons minutes.
I think I'd take Divencenzo over Huerter. Better athlete, cheaper and greater defender. Huerter is just a bit bigger. I'm not sure he is a better shooter either.
Shame the Kings burned that bridge. Weird trade off and burned a 1st rounder..

The claim posted on RealGM is that the Nets are demanding that Joe Harris go out with Kyrie ($18m/season, $36m guaranteed) while the Lakers want Seth Curry ($8m or so expiring).
Not that I want anyone to bail the Lakers out but anyone with a TPE or cap space could keep either of those guys if they were any good rather than let the Lakers have them.
Granted, Harris just had his ankle scoped and it never recovered last season, so he may be fricked and the Nets are trying to frick the Lakers if they get Kyrie out of this.

Dallas really doesn’t have anything to trade.
Miami does but Miami would rather have Durant and can’t send Bam since Simmons is already there.

Also sending Harris out saves them 8.5 million, whereas sending Curry costs them money and more of a tax bill.
