The pels might have the 3rd deepest team in the west behind the warriors and the clippers. I do think if zion is healthy all season, it'll be the pels and warriors in the conference finals.

Who doesn’t make the roster?
Temple, Hernangomez, Kira, Graham?

As of now, Temple.
Kira has another team option year.
Willy is seen as a good locker room guy.
Jax could be gone but probably not until he gets a chance to up his value.
That leaves Temple as the easiest cut.

Honestly, I know people keep saying that we need more shooting, but IMO the biggest need is interior defense. We really don’t have a rim protector on the roster. Our perimeter defense is solid though.
I feel like the underrated part about this is Murphy. Guy grew 2 inches so he should become a better defender. We also added 2 great defenders in the draft. Warriors and Mavericks showed you don’t need an elite interior defense. Also Boston vs Bucks when Williams was out.
Having 6’6 Dyson over 6’1 Graham is going to help out also.

I would start the rookie over Jones, just my opinion.

I’m still in love with the addition of CJ.
He’s the veteran needed to push our young stars. I believe he’s bought in to being the point guard also which has helped him unlock another level in his game. CJ best basketball days are still ahead of him.
Last year was the turning point in BI’s career. He’s a legit nightmare going forward. He carried HIS team to the playoffs and when those lights came on….. It only gets better
The league still hasn’t found an answer for ZION. The best recourse they had was he doesn’t have a team around him. Well, clearly that’s the wrong answer!
What’s the odds on us winning it all next year? I don’t know but we coming for Blood.

+4000 on Caesar's Sportsbook, which is ridiculous. Right before the draft, I put down $100 on us to win the West at +2500, which has since declined to +2200, so the sportsbooks obviously liked our draft.

if hayes takes a step up (whatever that means) then he will play. I don’t think there’s any chance he’s “worth” more in February than he is right now, so there’s no harm in waiting.
he will be a salary dump if he’s traded no matter how many minutes he plays. there’s pretty much no chance that he closes games but he can soak up minutes during the season

That starting lineup is going to run some people off the court for sure. But this is the 1st time that I can remember that I think our second unit would run most other second units off the court as well. My god this season can't get here soon enough.
*Although unfortunately, Graham is %100 going to still be getting more minutes than you'd hope.

I think Graham can absolutely still be a useful player, he just needs to be in the right role.
He shot 40% on catch and shoot threes last year. The problem is he shot 25% on pull-ups, and 40% of his shots were of that variety.
Now, if Dyson can be that connective point guard and a solid defender, or Jose, suddenly Graham can be used mostly like how Langston Galloway or Etwaun Moore was used. A guy mostly off ball to space the floor and run off screens. But can occasionally push the ball up the court and move the ball around.
Which, combine that with his 40% on catch and shoot on high volume, against back ups, suddenly that’s a net positive contributor again. Also probably creates more value at the deadline as well.

I think somethign we've lacked for a long time is a young bench, but one with actual NBA players on it.
The NBA season is a grind, and having a bench that brings the energy every game makes a big difference in your overall record, and when you have guys that can close games out, that's how you win 50+ games. That energy can only take you so far. Hopefully BI continues the path he's been on and becomes a more consistent closer, and the addition of Zion will help with that as well, as well as CJ. That's 3 guys that are not going to be afraid to have the ball in their hands late in games.

Yep
I think one of the keys to us having a Memphis-like leap will be depth.
Memphis could just keep rolling cause even though they would lose Morant for stretches, they had high level guys that could step up and punch above their weight for a couple weeks.
Whereas in the past, like with guys like Graham, the deficit of talent meant you were putting guys in roles too big for them and asking them to punch above their weight class indefinitely. And maybe 5-10% of the time you find a guy that is able to scale up, but most of the time they end up like Graham did and maybe meet the moment for a little while, but can’t sustain it.
Having our whole roster in the right roles, and hopefully only asking a few of them to occasionally punch above their role due to short term injury/rest, should mean we can be a 50 win team when you also have the starting talent we do

Honestly? A team looking at him may ask that he be showcased in a preseason game doing stuff they want him to do.
We’ve done that one or more times, such as letting QPon run wild in one game then flipping him to Memphis, our opponent that night, for Greivis Vasquez.
They apparently wanted to see what he could do given the opportunity and likes what they saw.

I think he could be useful as well. His catch and shoot three point shot just looks 10x better than his pull up. His pull up just doesn't look natural. And like you say, the stats show it.
But I just have a hard time seeing them use him as that Etwaun guy. He is going to handle the basketball more than he is going to spot up. Unless Willie just really puts aside the loyalty a coach can have for certain players and their roles. Maybe he can. I'd love it because I do like his catch and shoot and he just seems to be a really good teammate. he took a backseat in the playoffs and still seemed like a very supportive guy.

I would expect a healthy dose of Point Zion with the bench unit. That should take the ball out of Graham's hands and make him play off ball. They really need to see how he does playing the pick man in the P&R that Zion and JJ used to run. I'm sure that was one of the original visions when they signed Graham in the first place.

Graham and Jax are their top priorities to trade before the season per Shamit.
In terms of the West, it’s scary as two of the teams expected to contend (LA teams) didn’t even make the playoffs. As much as we hate it, if Kyrie goes to LA, they will be a problem.
1.GS
2.LAL
3. LAC
4. Memphis
5. Den
6. Nola
7. Min
8. Dal
9.Utah
10. Sac

If Kyrie goes to the Lakers -
1. The Lakers may end up hard capped which means they actually have to dump some of their current guys to build a roster (sign and trade as opposed to taxpayer MLE)
2. Kyrie is a fricking flake and has wrecked the last three locker rooms he has been in.

I'm not worried about the West. The Pels are deep enough that they should be a playoff lock and how high they finish will depend on injury luck.
