Is it just me or is anyone else a bit upset Naji wasn’t included in this trade somehow? To me this would help so much in our rotations.

First off, as much as I DO think Naji is the odd man out, y’all shite on him too much

Second, Andrew Lopez tweeted he doesn’t think Pels are done with trades

Im not insulting Naji- I just think our roster is too deep for him personally.

It means, if we decide to pay the tax, it won’t be because we were stuck with fricking Kira.

It also means we get a $5m TPE back, IIRC, which means we can take on a low cost player without having to salary match if we need to.

Not a great trade but one that saves money while giving us some flexibility.

Naji isn't the one to blame. It's willie for playing Naji far more than he should be played. It's clear Griff has to trade Naji to save willie from himself

No. Naji is fine. A great NBA teammate. Can do anything he is asked to do: defend, create, etc.

Where you are being blinded is by thinking that a ninth or tenth spot player can or cannot dictate your rotations. Your criticism should be more so with the coaching, starting lineups and rotations. Naji is a consummate professional. He does what is asked of him, and does it on a very team friendly contract. He will be sorely missed on this team when his contract outruns his coverage on this team. It will be a sad day for Pels fans.

I get sending out Kira to get under cap, but why are we sending out a random second round pick as well?

I hate that we made this move now and it was immediately followed by Lopez saying we’re probably not done

Now I’m gonna be refreshing stuff constantly even though I know nothing will happen for like at least a week

Clark says we're sending out our 24 2nd which is good since this is a terrible draft. The only other 2nd we had was a 2030 2nd. much rather give up the 24 2nd

Our 24 2nd is a pick swap with Boston, and they will chose to swap, so the 2nd we sent them is actually the last pick in the draft most likely, and worthless.

Is this you Naji? Or his agent?

No, Naji is an amazing player for the salary he gets. Whether or not he should be in our regular rotation is a separate question.

I know I was just messing around.

I dont understand why when people want to trade a player- there is an automatic assumption we hate the player. I like Naji- but to be fair without trading him- Willie will continually mess up our rotation. We can’t fire Willie in season, so just trade Naji.

Not exactly. We had Chicago's 2nd in this draft. When we traded Graham to the spurs we traded the better of chicago's 2nd or our 2nd. The spurs then traded that to Boston. We just now traded the worst of those 2 picks. Right now Boston would get chicago's 2nd and Indiana would get our 2nd. So as of today we just traded the 51st pick. Still worthless

I love the NBA. You use a pick to get a player than you have to use picks for someone to take them off your roster.

Or in the case of Kira, you needlessly pick up an option then never play him then use a pick to get off of him when you could have just not picked up the option.

It never made sense last year. For whatever reason people on here still seemed to think that Kira was going to be a player.

I remember Macnamara going on about how he was better than Jose lol

The opponent wasn't expecting it and had no plan to deal with Kira's speed.
