Trading Trey to get the 8th pick back that we gave up just to movie up eight spots is really going to piss me off.

Drafting Fears has given me a sliver of hope that they could actually make a decent draft pick if they had one but I have zero confidence in Dumars being able to make a trade that is a win for us.

would have to be more than that. The 27 Milwaukee pick and some players as well at minimum. It’s annoying but it’s probably the best value we’re getting.

Curious who wants Herb.. I assume warriors. They need to do something if they’re keeping all these old superstars on their team. That 11 pick is calling me.

Its pretty easy to get pissed off about this when you exclude Queen from the incoming package.

Trading Trey to get an 8th pick, additional assets, and a guy who put up several trip dubs as a rookie sounds a little better.

No I know it wouldn't be straight up. But the value even with another first is still pretty weak.

Almost best case scenario you take a guy at 8 and another one later in the first next year and you pray that one of them is as good as.... Trey.

idk you’re getting a top 10 pick guaranteed in a good draft and more than likely a very valuable Milwaukee pick next year for a third or fourth option on a good team. It’s a strong possibility we’ll have two top 10 picks in next years draft. Maybe two in the top 5. Plus the players we’d acquire which are ehh (unless we somehow pulled okungwu)

But I understand the idea that all of these picks were ours to begin with is the annoying part. I just don’t see any other teams interested in Trey who have better assets besides maybe the warriors. But the future pick value for them is more unknown

This is what it means to do a full rebuild. We'll suck this coming season, but if the picks pan out, then the potential for the future is there.

It's kind of a double edged sword. On one way hand, we've been clamoring for a rebuild. So, when we finally start teetering that way the fanbase is up and arms because we would have to the move the only asset we have that can truly kickstart it.

I'm for trading Herb, for sure...I still think we can build around Trey but methinks there is more conversations happening in the background that haven't been leaked i.e. Trey wants out. Herb less so but he's valuable and we need to capitalize on that value as quickly as we can before it's start to further depreciate.

Shams reporting it just hurts. They gave us their all and we're always professional. I get it's a business, but losing fan favorites suck

No. #8 and '27 MIL 1st without Giannis is not weak. Wtf are y'all smoking.

So we get #8 and a Top 14 pick for someone drafted #17 and have to hope they are better?

Worst thing ever. End of the world. No chance to recover from that. This could end up so bad, what if we end up a bottom 10 team and miss the playoffs several years in a row?

So if us and MIL both finish in the top 4 then we already have both those picks next year thanks to the protections, correct?

Once you heard the rumblings about them wanting to get into the top 10, I thought they were just going to continue to borrow future assets to load up and slowly trade the vets to recoup the future assets.

But this is happening fast. Looks like they wanted to focus on the staff and have them in place before going in hard on flipping the vets.

It sucks but that’s what you get with an absolutely dumpster fire of an organization. I wish Herb and Trey the same success of Jose and Josh.

correct. If things stand as they are today, both picks will go to the pelicans if they land in the top 4 next year

This is the rebuild everyone wanted this past season. It's happening. Can't have it both ways. We tried that last season. I much rather they pick a lane and commit to it. I want a rebuild.

The lane I would pick would be a rebuild as well, but it would start with Zion, and they don't seem to be doing that

If you REALLY think Fears and Queen are the future then you should be making deals that set that up

Seems like it’s the rebuild we need. I doubt the Pels are smart enough to pull off good trades. However, this could mean Trey to get into the top 10 and Herb to get in the mid first round.

I would prefer that too but like Memphis and Ja, his value is piss poor right now. That shouldn't stop them from moving forward with trading players with value.
