Yeah, he’s been a beast up until the last few years.

Tbh I would say he’s still been a beast even these past few years health wise considering his age. Most NBA players never make it this long in their career and the TINY TINY percentage that do are almost ALWAYS buried on the bench and maybe playing like 100 or so minutes total over the course of the whole season.

Bron starting and playing 30+ mins a game (even if it’s only for 50-60 games) is still very beastly imo.

There are other outliers like CP3, vince carter etc but for every CP3 theres like 3 or 4 udonis haslems.

And for every old arse udonis haslem types there are thousands of players whose bodies break down and fail them loooong before 35.

I wonder where all that goes to? Compression? Blood Spinning? Recovery?

As George Karl said in his book:

quote:

"I’m talking about performance-enhancing drugs—like steroids, human growth hormone, and so on. It’s obvious some of our players are doping. How are some guys getting older—yet thinner and fitter? How are they recovering from injuries so fast? Why the hell are they going to Germany in the offseason? I doubt it’s for the sauerkraut.

"More likely it’s for the newest, hard-to-detect blood boosters and PEDs they have in Europe. Unfortunately, drug testing always seems to be a couple steps behind drug hiding. Lance Armstrong never failed a drug test.”

NBA players can be tested twice each offseason, but yeah, the league isn't going to chase players on vacation in foreign countries to test them. The total number of tests that happen in the league is capped at 2125 by the CBA, meaning that players get tested an average of four times per year, and an average of two of those tests would be for HGH.

In reality, players can dope through the season, as long as they are careful to keep blood levels below positive test thresholds.

If you want to know how easy it is to do a trade for KD while not moving top 4 pieces (JV being #4)...

LINK

Took 30 seconds. Plenty of other options. Pels can absord 6+ mill into a TE as well in a secondary deal with one of these teams (say Nwaba from Hou to get them out of 2 year deal).

Easy.

Right. And deal posted (one of a plethora of options) does not require it.

I am against adding KD fwiw, just wanted to show how easy.

I’ve already done this several times. The boards consensus is that it is not worth it to get KD even if we have a chance to keep CJ, BI, Herb, Zion, Nance, Jose, and DD.

It appears that the Nets have made a Durant-based trade offer to the Minnesota Timberwolves, per Vincent Goodwill. Brooklyn asked for Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards, and four draft picks in return for Durant.

Brooklyn isn’t serious. This is all posturing. Unless they are seriously that out of touch with reality

All these types of trade demands from the Brooklyn front office are doing is showing that Kyrie might not be the craziest person in the building to be completely honest.

These dudes just need to suck it up, and run it back with KD, Kyrie and Simmons. They will be in the mix if healthy.

Brooklyn’s problem is they are going to have to choose if they want players or picks. They could probably get Mitchell and rotation players but not many picks. Or get a bunch of picks but no good players. They want both and that’s not happening. And if they wait too long Phoenix will lose Ayton and the value he could bring to a trade.

But I’ve thought from the beginning Marks doesn’t want to trade KD.

I’m not sure I would trade that for ‘95 Jordan, absolutely not for a 34 year Durant.

both Durant and Irving are toxic.
Irving more so than Durant but still, nobody is trading their “best” of anything for either guy. The NBA is as wide open as it has ever been, and having GSW back forces teams to be mindful about building complete versatile teams. Durant plus scraps isn’t winning anything, and teams just aren’t willing to go down that road

The market is so warped by the timing of KD's request. I think that Marks will try to get KD to play with the Nets until the trade deadline and he can get a decent return.

I’m told that the Nets have inquired on Ingram, Nance & picks.

Crazy that they think a 33 year old, injury prone, bad attitude KD is worth all that.I’m not giving up Ingram but if I was they better be talking KD plus picks and other players for just ingram.
