If tweet fails to load, click here. ScoopB has had very accurate Pels info in the past

Per a Pelicans source close to the situation: “More than likely will have to be something via trade. Their books are tight and they won’t go into the luxury tax.”
They added: “They still hold a very firm price point for Herb Jones and Trey Murphy.”
With high-priced free agency additions fully off the table due to these rigid cap constraints, the focus has shifted entirely to structural matching on the trade market. It means any incoming upgrade must fit cleanly into a framework where matching outbound salaries—such as contract configurations like Jordan Poole’s—balance out the incoming books perfectly.
According to sources, two prominent, established defensive anchors have surfaced at the center of internal discussions, each offering a vastly different blueprint for how the Pelicans can reshape their frontcourt without crossing the tax line: Orlando Magic big man Wendell Carter Jr. and Milwaukee Bucks center Myles Turner.

Orlando moving Carter doesn't even make sense.

I wonder how much it would take to convince M Rob to come?

Robinson will most likely follow money. I would be weary since he's been so injury prone in his career. I don't think he can last a full season playing extended minutes.

If mosley wants wc Jr, than I want wc jr.

Dump Poole for M. Turner.
Profit

Just had his parade here too. The NTMLE will be around $15mil and that's around where his projected contract may be. I think he's our backup plan.
Possible list:
W Carter
M Turner
M Robinson
W Kessler
D Gafford

Get Mitchell Robinson and you would have half of Chalmette at the games every night

He's the only FA we can sign without needing to trade assets for a Center. Its why I think he's the most likely option if we do actually target J Brown. Any other C would require additional salary including Browns salary incoming.

will this be the year the Pelicans finally get Miles Turner?

Poole for Turner is the easiest deal
Exercise looney and Hawkins and 2nds for Wendell

It’s officially an offseason now that we got a Zion workout video and a Myles Turner to the Pels rumor.

Myles Turner to the pels has been foretold for the last 1000 years

If I want that type of crowd I'd go to a Kenner Sqaudron game

If it’s just Turner I don’t want. He’s pretty arse. Can’t rebound and his shooting was horrible last season

I have no idea if this is a good idea...
You could waive and stretch Poole and sign Robinson. You would be on the books for 11.7 the next 3 years but you would have 23 million in space*.
Offer Robinson 3 yrs/ 40-45 million and find a discount shooter?
*According to chatgpt.

Jake Weinbach posted an interesting trade idea, did a little tinkering with it though.
Celtics: Sengun, Murphy,
Rockets: Brown
Pels: JSJ, Turner, 2 1sts via Hou
Bucks: Poole, 1st via Hou
Feel like we get a little more than we should, maybe change one of those 1sts to a swap, but that would immediately solidify our 4&5 spots for years.
This deal would leave 24 million under the tax with only 2 roster spots to fill, we could easily use the full NTPMLE and BAE

For a team that won’t go over the cap and is not a serious contender, I think you need all the space you can going toward active players.
