That feels like an amazing trade. I would do it immediately. Could have a solid front court of Smith, Turner, and Queen.

I would definitely trade Zion.

I doubt HOU will send Sengun, JBJ and 3 first round picks (even if one of them is from PHO). I also doubt Bucks will take Poole and one pick (which will be late 1st round) instead of taking JBJ (like Jake proposed). Perhaps if we give them back the '27 pick rights...

You could waive and stretch Poole and sign Robinson. You would be on the books for 11.7 the next 3 years but you would have 23 million in space*.

We are @ $196mil. Releasing Poole/ Looney deducts $42mil. That puts us @ $154mil. Cap limit is $165.

So letting Looney/ Poole walk gives us $11mil in cap space for FA. We also lose our largest tradeable asset to take back salary. Terrible idea.

We can only use the cap space and exceptions for FA. We would have less than $12mil cap space and only (1) NTMLE above $15mil.

We don't lose the $15mil NTMLE.

So you can either take back ($49mil) in trades from Poole/ Hawk/ Looney + ($15mil) NTMLE
OR

Cut all 3, take back a max of ($19mil) in FA/ trades + ($15mil) NTMLE.

Yeah, that’s why I said I think we would be getting too much, take out one pick or make it a swap, and it seems more in line.

For the Milwaukee deal, I think Turner is being way overrated value wise, for them to get JSJ in that deal they would have to send out a pick with Turner IMO, I think they would prefer a Poole and pick, or as you said take that pick from Houston and give them their rights back for next year.

Wendell Carter won’t move the needle at all but if it means getting rid of Poole by all means do it.

will this be the year the Pelicans finally get Miles Turner?

Probably because it’s years too late.

Bagley would be an awesome get, but he’s just not a center.

Bagley does nothing to address our huge, gaping hole at center. He just continues our NBA worst center rotation.

Sounds like he just throwing names out there. A guy like Bagley is a flyer at best. Isn't a type of player who you bring in at the center position for a team that lacks toughness up front.

Jonathon Issac was just released by Orlando. Could be an option

The only pause is that Mosley pretty much reduced his minutes to almost nothing throughout his tenure there. I don't know if he believes in Issac as a big especially with how brittle he's shown to be.

Issac really isn’t good neither. He almost developed into something but then injuries took that away.

He’s more of a tweener, but he can play it here and there. Health is definitely the biggest issue with him, but he should come cheap. We could do worse than having our targets be M Rob and Issac. Definitely could do better than them as targets, but could do worse

Getting Isaac is getting a 13-15 roster guy. You cannot bank on him being a part of the rotation.

Which is exactly what we need. We don’t need him playing more than the 3rd string PF/C role when we have Zion, Queen, Missi, Bey in front of him. Same for a starting C, we don’t need anyone that soaks up more than 20 MPG, ideally we want someone that can do 15-18, Missi play around 24, Queen 6-8. Issac would be on the bench most nights, and come in as injury filler or garbage time.

I couldn’t disagree more. If we don’t get a starting center, the season is over before it starts. Wemby, Sengun, Gafford, Lively. That’s just our division. We have the worst center play in the league. It puts us at such a disadvantage in most games. This will be the third straight season of not having a real center. That is inexcusable.

And that would be the 15-20 MPG guy I mentioned. Bring him in as your starter, but Missi plays a majority of those minutes, who alot of people think he will make a huge leap this year.

Missi can’t score unless it is assisted near the rim. He really struggles with guarding bigger centers. He is also a below average defensive rebounder. That is just simply too much to expect him to improve in one offseason. Missi needs to be the 15 minute a game guy if they actually want to compete.
