With reports that the Houston Rockets want to blow it up and that nobody is safe, got me thinking what a Jrue Holiday/James Harden/Zion Williamson trio would look like for years to come.

It would surely take AD agreeing to a long term deal in Houston, but I would think the Rockets would consider it to have a core of CP3/AD/Capela in place with shooters (EGknee/Etwaun) around their core.

Thoughts on Hardens fit and if you think them moving Harden is even a possibility?

Chances of AD signing a 5 year supermax with us are much higher than Harden being traded to any team.

houston is not trading Harden.
CP3 sure, but Harden, no chance in hell.

I'd gladly welcome CP3 back, but i'm not giving up Jrue to do it, definitely not AD since they don't have enough to match the other AD offers, and we don't have enough salary to send out to make it possible without Jrue/AD being involved.

CP3 on that contract is a complete nonstarter.

I’d rather take Blake Griffin’s gimp arse than CP3 if we take a stupidly large and long deal.

I'd rather CP3 than Griffin, but i would'nt really care either way. I'd prefer younger veterans.

Look, we aren't signing some big name FA. We have one big contract in Jrue and the rest is going to be rookies or MLE type deals for the most part. Overpaying an aging guy like CP3 isn't that big of a deal for now. WHen his contract is up, Zion's will kick in. That is my only reason for even considering taking on his terrible contract.

With that contract and age, CP3 is a negative asset. They gonna have to give up assets to trade him. I’d rather just roll with Payton again at PG.

I’m always baffled when people complain about contracts. Like we’re not in a position to sign a big FA so many won’t matter as long as CP can still play. This ain’t Asik Ajinca or Solo we talking.
The real question is this: did CP decline due to age or his usage/system in Houston?

How in the world can that baffle you? It is a matter of if the player is worth the contract. Can you honestly say that the way CP3 is playing the last couple of years, coupled with his injury history and age, is worth $123 million over the next 3 years?
