Aaron Gordon is one of the best defenders in the league. Hugely underrated in that aspect.
and he actually shoots threes, and get this, he makes them too.

He literally does nothing off the ball. He just stands in the corner. Sometimes he goes after offensive rebounds, more often than not he's just getting ready to lightly jog back on defense.
He is ZERO THREAT off the ball. He can't shoot, doesn't cut, we rarely use him to set screens and even when we do he's lazy rolling to the rim most of the time.
When he doesn't have the ball in his hands, we are playing 4 on 5. When he has the ball in his hands we are playing 1 on 5.

Call me optimistic, I think it has more to do with poor coaching and poor fit around him. Put Z on a well coached team with a good cast of players around him, I think he contributes to winning in that situation. You aren’t changing my mind and I’m not changing yours. We’ll find out in a year or two.

This isn't optimism, this is delusion.
NBA is a player-driven league. Zion is now on his 4th coach in seven seasons. If none of those four can get him to change, no active coach is going to get through to him, short of maybe Spoelstra's Heat culture, but Heat culture is predicated on defense first, which is probably the poorest part of Zion's game.
He is who he is at this point and it's only going to get worse as his athleticism degrades each year from age and lack of fitness.

There can be no new arena. NOLA’s credit rating was just downgraded by Moody’s to junk status and their reserves are exhausted. We’re not a major league city/market any longer and the Pels are doing more damage than good being here.

Not trying to defend it, but If all those people weren't injured all the time and actually played, we could be on the bubble of the playoffs. With good coaching. I think that's the point. Trey isn't injury prone. Poole it is not injury prone. Murray is a little bit. He was an All-Star. Obviously Zion is.
I guess they live in a pretend world where they think all of these people will be healthy and playing to their potential simultaneously with great coaching
