When will you realize that you’re not the arbiter on what random message board posters can talk about on a message board?

you’re hyping up this roster and saying teams LOVE the players we have when the assets being offered don’t reflect that.

Who would receive significant minutes on a legit playoff team? Trey, maybe Bey, and maybe Herb depending on the team. None of these guys are consistent top 2 contributors on a deep playoff team.

Missi isn’t playing many minutes if any at all

Jose will get abused by any athletic or tall guard

Zion is a losing player

This roster is not as good individually as you think.

If aging, broken down AD can fetch 2 first round picks, we'd be idiots not to shop Trey and get back in the 1st round to really start the rebuild process and add to the Queen/Fears future core.

Top 2 contributors wtf. I never made close to that strong of a statement, I never even said Trey was a #2. If you think Zion would be a losing player on a team like the Nuggets or Rockets, you are lost.

He would negatively affect both of those teams because it would mean less touches for their top 3 players.

His role would have to change, but if AG can be the #3 on that Nuggets championship team, then I’m confident Zion could. Zion was playing very good defense on Lamelo on the perimeter late in that game, it’s all a mentality thing for that guy. And I don’t think it’s fair to say Z is a bad off ball player, we just don’t have the players to set up the offense and get him looks.

So your basis on Zion being a net positive on a championship is that he needs to change or add something to his game... something he has failed to do in 7 seasons as a pro.

The NBA draft deadline is rapidly becoming one of the worst days of the season for a Pels fan. We’re in the awkward position of feeling sorry for the players that get traded here while feeling excited for those that get traded away to greener pastures.

It’s a horrible way to feel but until Gayle is removed that’s where we are.

They may have a playoff team 2-3 years from now, but currently they are arse.

The talent is not a cohesive unit. We still lack shooting.

Right now you wanna keep zion, Murphy, fears, queen, Jones, and Bey? Fine.

Move on from Alvarado, Murray, Poole, and missi and get value.

I’m saying he’s not an alpha and can’t be THE guy. Put someone like Jokic or KD beside him and he could be elite as he’d have more energy for rebounding and off ball movement. We all know Zion should be damn near the best rebounder in the league if he put more effort into it. It’s no one’s fault but Z’s that he can’t be THE guy but I still don’t buy that he can’t be a winning player with a different role.

I think he’s a losing player in general. For him to be effective he needs the ball in his hand yet he can’t score outside of two feet, not a creative passer, he can’t play defense particularly great, doesn’t rebound at a high level, free throw shooting is average at best. He’s one of those players that has good numbers but it doesn’t convert to winning games. He’d do more harm than good on the teams you’ve suggested. I’d rather Aaron Gordon with that roster and he’d get in the way of Amen and Senguns paint scoring.

well on a contender as you said in your original post, I’m not sure he’s even a top 3 option. He’s a player every team would want tho because of his skill set. I agree with you on that. My disagreement is you hyping up this roster saying CONTENDERS would LOVE to have a lot of our roster. Especially when half the guys you listed no contender would give up something of value to acquire. No contender wants rookies. No contender wants Zion. Some contenders wouldn’t want Herb unless they have a ton of shooting. No contenders are playing Jose and Missi in the playoffs. A contender would want Bey as a 6th man type.

But he's on an alpha contract. That's part of the reason why it won't work with a contender.

Our team have great players but I don’t think Zion and Queen can coexist. Queen looks like he hates Zion by not passing to him. There’s clips out there where he would rather shoot a mid range than pass it to Queen. Saddiq Bey has made Murphy expendable. Peavy also has made Herb expendable too. We need to trade for spacing.

Contract is fair to argue but he got that deal like 4 years ago so I imagine it’s not that bad compared to the newer deals. Anyways, we’re toast and we’re all just preaching to the choir. It’s been a long time since we traded Hield for Boogie and swept the Blazers. We are the Washington Generals once more.

Just move the franchise, they aren’t serious about winning. At this point they are just embarrassing the city
