And they got hated on pretty hard for it?

Doesn’t seem like a terrible idea in hindsight.

Would it have mattered with this coaching staff?

By every metric Zion is better than Ja now, and unless he eats his way out of the NBA, Zion is likely to be better in 3, 5, and 10 years from now.

Can we also talk about the timing of this post when as bad as we've been since the restart, MEM has been worse, not winning a single game yet?

Also, this was posted after Zion scoring 24 points in 22 minutes. Ja has only hit at least 24 points once in 4 games since the restart, scoring 25 in 36 minutes.

WTF is this OP watching?

If Ja was slightly better defender I’d definitely agree but I’d still pick Zion.

Haven't they lost all games in the bubble? Aren't they about to blow the 8 seed?

It was a terrible idea year

Now how cool would it have been if say LA gets the second pick and we go Zion Morant 1/2.

That would be a fricking squad.

I was on record of trading whatever we had to give up from the lakers or Celtics from the AD trade to get Ja and pair him with Zion. And jus build around that duo. Maybe get a third younger lower tier star in a Jrue trade.

Have you seen morant lately? Dude has been playing trash in the clutch. Missed free throws and turnovers.

He’s still the real deal. This bubble shite is weird, kinda like the NCAA tournament. I also put in one of the threads with my trade I would have went after T.J. Warren to play the 3 if we had got Ja with Zion since the suns gave him away. He’s probably been the MVP of the bubble so far. Like I said, just a weird instance that’s affecting players differently.
