That’s why I’m saying a huge IF. They’re not going to trade Fox. If they had to trade one or their guards to get the MOST return back it would be Halliburton without question. The topic is not the highest realistic options but very low possibilities that can happen if something happens.

Bump

I managed to target/mention 2 players that didn’t play a single second this season.

But we did eventually end up pulling off a random/wtf move none of us saw coming this summer in CJ Mccollum. We threw out 30 names in this thread and none of them were CJ.

I was told I should aim lower with the targets and we arguably ended up getting a guy better than 7-8 of the guys I listed, plus Larry Nance, for almost nothing lol.

My favorite post in the entire thread looking back might be the guy who said Why the F would the Kings trade Tyrese Halliburton?

Lol, the answer is because they are the Fooking Kings lol. Nothing they do makes any sense whatsoever.

Who has the absolute worst contract in the NBA? I would imagine Griff is gearing up to give up a few first for Andrew Wiggins or John Wall

LOL. One of these really turned out to be unlike the other.

Good call. Still pisses me off we didn’t trade up for Halliburton when he started to slide.

There's no need to trade for anything but a pg, draft bpa and run it back with Zion next year.

50 wins as the roster is currently built.

Would anyone consider Duncan Robinson this summer? Seemed like we were after him last year and now he is out of the Miami rotation, might be available for cheap with the contract he is on

I hope not

We've done a great job not having any really negative value, bigger contracts. Graham's is the worst one, and it wasn't a bad contract when it was signed, just hasn't worked out but it's not a terrible contract.

Duncan Robison has the potential to be just that, a really bad contract.

If you got Duke Zion on defense, Duncan Robinson may make some sense. But Duncan, Zion, and CJ all playing would be a disaster defensively.

Correct, if Miami doesn't have a good enough defense to give Robinson a single minute in the current series they're in, how are we going to give him minutes?

If we're healthy, I think can basically pencil us in for a top 3 offense next season. How good the defense is will determine how good we are. If we're just league average, we're probably a 50 win team.

I just don't see the fit for Robinson. I mean, I see the fit as a 3pt shooter obviously but I don't see the fit in the overall sense.

I know it feels crazy to not add anything to the core, but they don't need to. Long term they need to replace Devonte and Jaxson. One of those replacements will probably be drafted with the Lakers pick this season. The other is most likely to be the next draft pick. Hopefully it's a pick in the mid teens or better that we swap with the Lakers.

Outside of that everyone getting better and Zion getting healthy and creating space will give this team the improvement it needs.

What would it take to get Divencenzo?

He is a RFA and doesn't want to go back to Sacramento. He is a good defender. Fills a need for us a 3 and D guy..

We're not going to waste another dime on Gordon's arse. I don't get how this even computes to any Pels fan lol.

I've been thinking that we would not make any trades at all this offseason, but I'm now thinking that we will likely make some kind of 2-for-1 trade to open another roster spot.

It'll be some combo of Graham, Temple, Kira, and Jaxson that will go out in return for one player.

It's either that, or somehow get Temple to retire by promising him a coaching job or something. I just can't see us going into the season with only one roster spot for our draft picks, because I don't think that we're selling 2nd-round picks this time.

But the shape of that 2-for-1 deal will be determined by the lottery, because if we jump into the top 4 picks, then we'll need to shed some salary to stay under the tax. On the other hand, if our pick were to drop to #9 or #10, then we'd have space to take in a little salary in such a trade.

I think they'll trade both 2nds to move up into the 30s. And to your point, someone in the 30s is not signing a 2 Way contract meaning they'll need another roster spot.
