im sure Griff is gonna aim high and make the hawks feel like they need to throw him in or else we’ll look elsewhere.

Atlanta being motivated buyers may make them more likely to give up future 1sts for Jrue rather than anyone outside of Huerter and Dedmon, but #6 is still the centerpiece of any trade they make. Your guy has to fall to 6, kind of like the Hornicans original trade for Jrue, where Nerlens Noel was considered the top prospect in a weak draft by many and fell to #6.

Yes, the parallels should be alarming.

I wonder if the Suns would consider a deal like Rubio, Bridges and #10 for Holiday. Probably too steep a price for them, but Monty could push for Jrue to put next to Booker.

They’d want 13 back at the least if Bridges is involved.

the Suns think very highly of Bridges. I don’t think they are interested in moving him.

They’d probably rather include Oubre, but he’s a bit redundant with Ingram, and the 10th pick isn’t high enough, IMO.

The proposals from opposing fanbases just get more absurd as time goes on.

I just read an entire article from a New York news source going on about how a straight Levert swap is the best deal going forward.

That’s right. Jrue straight up for Levert.

I hope a 3/$90 extension doesn’t kill his trade value too much. Because it kind of looks like that’s where we’re headed. Jrue will be our Kyle Lowry.

We obviously can’t use fan trades and even local news trades as a barometer.

They never get it right ever and are always homers giving their own team the best possible deal, overrating their own assets (as we do as well).

But someone like Lowe coming up with his ideas was a bit more disturbing.

I do think we are closer to keeping him than I thought a few days ago.

FYI I did see some open speculation from a nba journo yesterday speculating that the Bulls want to move up to 2.

If true then it could make sense for a 3 team swap with GSW and Bulls. Which we’ve talked about a good deal.

Since people here are so low on Markkanen, I’ve been trying to come up with some variation of:

Bulls
2, Looney, Wiggins

GSW
Jrue, Markkanen

Pels
4, Carter, Satoransky

The value is too good for GSW. Evening the value for us and the Bulls is what I’m trying to figure out. Let’s say future GSW 1st to us (2025?), and NAW to Chicago? Multiple 2nds? The Minny 2021 1st to someone? 13 having to go somewhere?

Yeah, unless MPJ is on the table or someone we like falls to 6 (or 4), I just don't see many offseason options.

Trades can’t even happen yet, I think we’re just being impatient

True, but smart basketball people are telling us our barometer for what a good Jrue trade is, is off.

And if they are even remotely indicative of the offers we are getting I’d rather keep him.

And to be fair, I think these national guys are wrong. And we will get a very good offer on draft night.

Yep, if I had to bet when the trade occurs I would say it’s on draft night, because someone we like falls to a team that is wanting a veteran.

I still think a GSW/Bulls/Pels 3 way trade has the biggest potential.

And that 10 Teams leak is classic "I'm not liking what I'm seeing, nothing attracts a crowd like a crowd" salesmanship.

I still think Jrue is probably the second best “available” player this off-season, we’re going to get some bites. I put available in quotes because AD is technically available even though he’s going to re-sign.

NBA radio is discussing Atlanta wanting to trade #6 for a vet. They said they believe Atlanta really wants Jrue, but #6 won't be enough to get him, and they'll have to throw in at least one of their young players.

1st MSM I've heard actually value Jrue around where we think he will be.

Cam Reddish is an interesting player. He disappointed at Duke a little, but he has turned into a pretty good defensive prospect and his shooting could be really valuable.
