I don't see it with the Hawks. They struggle as much with injuries as we do. Young is an exciting player, but he's not an alpha. They're big 3 is Young, J. Johnson and Porzingis. Who is that scaring? They have some other young pieces and some good vets, but it's not a super deep team. Weird line-up..

Westbrook makes not a lot of sense to me for a variety of reasons.

But I could see Joe wanting him.

Fears’s arse would be so planted to the bench he would need to have it surgically removed

Yeah I can see it happening though. Would give Fesrs time to develop in G League and us a PG until Murray comes back.

Means Jose is gone for sure and Hawk too

Who says no?

Pels get Sam Hauser
Nuggets get Jose
Celtics get Zeke Nnaji

We can send Hawkins elsewhere for a 2nd

brmark has wanted him for us for many years now. Maybe he'll finally get his wish.

I could see Joe wanting him for some of the same reasons he wanted Looney. A veteran player who can mentor his new rookie (Looney for Queen and Westbrook for Fears). Problem is, Willie will play each for 30 minutes a game.

At what point does the "veteran leader" aura starts to wear off?

Fears was 2 years old when Westbrook was drafted.. At some point wouldn't these young guys look at Westbrook the same way people look at current Tiger Woods?

We are not going ot do anything of note this year. I want Fears, Missi, and Queen getting 48 minutes a night. Knowing Willie though Fears and Queen will get more DNP Coaches Decisions than actual games played.

We really can't assume this. David Griffin was an outsider and just kind of let things happen. Dumars is calling the shots and has full control with Gayles trust. If we made that trade and neither guys are playing minutes then Dumars is gonna drop Willie's arse even sooner than we'd want him to.

If that's the case, then great. More power to Dumars. Just basing it off what we know from the HC.

Really wish Gayle would have let him fire Willie. Just weird doing a soft reset and bringing back a head coach with his record.

If that post after the Looney trade is correct then we would have 3.4mil available along with Jose/ Hawk. Which is a total of $12.6mil and we would only need 1 roster spot to get to a legal (14) man roster.

So about $12mil space with those guys gone. Including Herb would get us to about $25mil to my knowledge but needing (2) roster spots.

Idk how we get Kuminga without trading Herb but you do it if you can.

If we do have to trade Herb, Hawk, and Jose to get Kuminga then we are probably going to sign Gary Payton with the remaining spot and money. The New Orleans Warriors.

Not when he's a perfect scapegoat. Even if everything goes wrong then we fire Willie and fans rejoice. You bring in a new coach and things go wrong well the fans can only be pissed.

Here's the double whammy though that makes all of these decisions puzzling:

1) Willie is coaching for his job

2) The team gave up their pick next year so its imperative that they win

Why give rookies minutes in those situations?

Because they could be the best available players...

Right now Fears and Queen should be in our immediate bench rotation:

Poole/ Fears/ Reeves
Herb/ Jose/ Hawk
Trey/ Bey/ Peavy
Zion/ Queen/ Karlo
Missi/ Looney/
