I think you missed what I was saying

Willie isn't going to see it that way, because he is coaching for his job.

The team isn't going to see it that way because they NEED to win now.

They made two huge moves (retain coach, trade unprotected pick next year) that are conducive to playing veterans and not rookies.

Unless one of those guys is just absolute BALLING in camp and you can't deny him, they will be buried on the bench

I absolutely disagree. You don't make that move possibly pissing off your fan base and getting that much criticism around the league only for those guys to sit the bench. The point you are missing is Dumars wanted Queen BECAUSE he thinks he can have that impact. Willie doesn't play Queen he's gone. And if we don't play Fears we are retarded.

Its the only reason I want Jose/ Hawk off the team. I don't want them getting minutes over anyone with more potential than them

Unless Joe Dumars demand Willie to play the rookies. We gave up high assets for Queen.

Anyone that doesn’t believe Mac knows things at this point, I don’t know what to tell you. He’s annoying, but he knows.

I don’t want to give up Trey or Herb for Kuminga.

What about Jose and Hawk?

This would be such a perplexing move.

Another SF/PF swing, that is a good player but doesn't shoot or make 3s well.

You'd certainly have to give up a player of note like Herb to make it happen.

I wouldn't get this move at all.

Only gets you to like 12 mill from the line. He will want more than that to sign a long term deal. He will just bet on himself and play on a 1 year instead of taking 12ish, I would imagine.

We could also give him like a (4) yr 90mil deal and do it

13-21-26-30. Just load the back end, which that still wouldn't be a bad contract honestly.

If I’m trading Trey or Herb, I want more than Jonathan fricking Kuminga.

I’m fine going without him and getting assets from trading either to someone else if we go that route.

You can’t trade your best shooter for him. It would be Herb. Love Herb but this seems like a gamble move. Kuminga’s potential is higher than Herb

Trading Herb wouldn’t be great but at least I can somewhat understand I guess. Trading Trey for KUM is a fireable offense. Would be hard to support this team with such stupidity in charge

How does the fit of Kuminga make even the slightest bit of sense

Kuminga is an upgrade from Herb. If most other upgrades from Herb will cost us 1sts then its probably a damn good deal. It also puts alot of pressure on Zion and gives us MORE options to not have to rely on Z.

I don’t get it. Dumars must see something in Kuminga and thinks he’s going to take another leap as a player.

Im not trading Herb for Kuminga. Kuminga is an awful fit on this roster. Dude is going to want shots. There’s not enough shots for Poole, Trey, Kuminga, Zion, Dejounte when he comes back. Not to mention the rookies, one of which we mortgaged next year for

They play different positions, Herb has developed a much better outside shot than Kuminga and makes less.

Kuminga is the better player in a vacuum, but he also plays the exact same swing, SF/PF, as two of your highest paid players as Trey and Zion.

So you're paying 3 SF/PFs big money, and you just gave up next year's first and a first this year for a guy that plays PF.

If we are to add anything else it should be shooting, not Kuminga. I don't get the fit at all

He did score 18/ 30/ 23/ 26 the last 4 playoff games without Butler/ Steph. He was their guy. I'm not complaining about a dude who averaged 24pts in his last playoff series.

He has more than he’s shown in Golden State but I don’t see him being a great fit with us given what we are missing (outside shooting).
