You shouldn’t prepare for something that will never happen.

Losing Naji to free agency with cap space teams on the other hand has a pretty high likelihood of happening.

Naji is definitely a potential role player starter on the right team. He is clearly a strong role player regardless of the team. The problem is he will assuredly come off the bench behind Herb and Trey.

I want Naji back but it needs to be at the right price, 7-9 million a year. He wouldn’t take minutes away from Dyson or Hawk though because i want him back as Zion’s backup at the 4. He played that spot well last year and played it a lot. He’s a small 4 but plenty physical.

I like Naji but you have to truly find out what you have in your latest lottery picks, and as long as he’s here Willie is going to play him. It’s for the best.

I want BI and his contract gone mostly. If they could somehow pull the deal with Atlanta off to get Murray, a true PG, then i’d use the cap savings to sign Jonas back because you’re not finding better on the FA market and you won’t have as much to offer in trade. Jonas and Zion could work well with a real PG until you can find your next young big man. The 2025 draft is being really hyped up.

Naji is a lot like Vincent Van Gough. A little bit crazy, and not appreciated nearly enough until he was gone.

I don’t understand why they can’t keep him other than the team being cheap as frick

Naji is not good enough to threaten being a tax team

Whats it tell you that the pelicans are ok with him leaving and not trying to retain him?

We can't afford to pay him $10M+/year with Zion, BI's contract, CJ's contract, and Trey's upcoming extension.

He's better than Hawk/Dyson right now by a wide margin

On a bad team he'll be a 12/5/5 guy or better

A wide margin is probably a bridge too far but he's definitely currently better than both Hawk and Dyson...doesn't mean we have to pay him, but it is a potential downgrade if Hawk/Dyson don't improve.

He's not as good of a defender as Dyson and isn't as good of a scorer as hawk (idc what Hawks numbers say, willie fricked him up last year)

He's the middle point of both players. He can score better than Dyson and play defense better than hawk so he's on the court more. I get it.

I for one, am going to hate to see Naji Jordan go. Did nothing great but a lot of things good. There's something to be said for that and add the team player aspect and he's a type guy that pretty much every team in the league would want. Jose provides a legit spark off the bench, but Naji did as well to a little lesser degree.

Post game interviews won't be nearly as funny as well.

Naji was better than Dyson and Hawk last season, but that doesn't mean that he will be better than them this coming season.

Naji has improved every year, but both Dyson and Hawk are much younger and should make a bigger jump.

Naji is also the guy on our team that knows his role and always has his guys backs. Naji was the one ready to kick Jimmy "hold me back" Butlers arse.

If we lose Naji, we need to get another guy with that mentality. Every team needs someone like that.

Trade BI to Houston and get his daddy Dillon Brooks back.

Jalen Green , Eason and Dillon Brooks would be the package I’d shoot for if we can’t get Trae Young from the Hawks.
