Then get bufkin. A guy who shot 2% less than Hawkins from 3. Can actually handle the ball and pass, can play D.

Not even close to the same shooter. You're statwhoring.

trade back then.
Just like in the NFL, you need a trade partner willing to do it.
We likely tried to go a couple of spots back but couldn't.

Because there were guys with higher floors and ceilings, which could've still filled a need for us.
Taking a one-dimensional player in the lottery is a bad decision imo, but Griff usually plays it safe, so im not surprised.

I'm curious as to what the melt is about. It seems like it's about not taking a high upside guy with concerning injury issues. People point to Michael Porter Jr., he plays about as often as Ingram. A lot of the same people melting over not taking Whitmore are some of the same people that have been ready to trade one of our star players with injury issues because they can't handle the uncertainty from the injury issues. Why do you guys hate yourselves?
Alot of them are also the same people that complain over and over about our 3 point shooting and the need for more, and we just got the best in the draft.
Makes no sense

It’s all uncertain. Nobody really knows how a kid will develop.
It’s a pretty steep dopoff after Wemby. lol.

Cool, he's better at literally everything else in the game of basketball

Yeah but do those guys have the intangible Do-It-Big team mindset!? We're building a family here!

Right now it's just a value debate. It was just shocking we had the chance to get a top 5 projected player.
I don't hate Hawkins. It's fine. We do need shooting. I don't see how he gets minutes unless he can play the point. But lots of moves still to come..

The entire NBA draft is a crapshoot. Look back at the past few drafts. So many misses in the first round.

No use talking about playoffs if we can't shoot the 3 during the season

y'all catch that Woj basically shite on all the Zion trade rumors?
said no GM in the league was offered a trade option with Zion and that Zion's been in the facility working... the only trades the Pels explored were with future assets

Griff bets the table minimum at every blackjack table because he is afraid to lose anymore

Let them bitch. Love Hawkins, fantastic movement shooter. Whitmire said he was the toughest player he guarded in college

I'll take a guy who will help break the Zion Wall.

Well CJ isn't going to be around for much longer. We need to clear cap for the future. Not saying this year, but come the trade deadline there's a chance.

Newsflash, drafting for fit is always a terrible decision.
