Borrego is going to make magic with Trey, CJ, and Hawkins.

We took the guy most people had mocked to us, and we're going to melt? OK.

Dudes a great shooter. We need it. I'm fine. Our future isn't going to be shaped by the 14th pick in this draft.

Exactly so take the big swing with whitmore. Don't be a bitch and draft for need

I preferred Whitmore too but this isn't a bad pick. They added a shooter which, alongside rim protection, is a big team need.

Well they just called him the best shooter in the draft. I can live with that.

We need 3 pt shooters in the absolute worst way. If this pick hits this dude will be crucial to playoff success when benches shorten.

Maybe there’s something with him that nobody outside the organizations know.

I knew this was likely the pick once Dick was taken. Too many questions with Whitmore.

This is why I asked if we should have traded up. Likely couldn't trade back with anyone, so we went with our guy. Hawkins was always it.

Beasley wishes he can do the thing Hawkins can do on the move.

and have another injury prone player we are looking for production from?

seriously, we complain about the amount of missed games from BI and Zion, and you want them to take a guy with questionable medicals? bruh...

For everyone bitching about it, remember this stat
quote:

Pelicans finished the season 23rd in 3s made. Two players — CJ and Trey — combined to make 46% of their 3s.

He'll be targeted and eaten alive on the defensive end in the playoffs. Griff just bunted with a lottery pick.

This is a fair point. I guess the counter argument would be it's the 14th pick overall so screw it and go high risk/high reward.

Keep telling yourself that. Not as a bad defender as you describing him to be.
