Ugh Dell... A trade like that would mean AD or bust when it comes to basketball in this city. We don't have the population to skate by for a few years and keep this team here like Brooklyn.

Then again, we already may be at AD or bust territory, I don't know. How do you convince STHs that you've wasted the primes of AD and CP3, but things will be different moving forward?

He's not posting that anything is a done deal, just that Dell is trying to make some moves via trade. I don't see what the big deal is? If it doesn't excite you, or you don't care, then don't follow?

Of course he isn't posting anything that he could be held accountable for, that's the point!

But go on believing the impeccable track record on Crewz. Who apparently has insider friends that enjoy seeing him play word games with local fans on Twitter.

It's pretty mixed. At best.

How can Marcus Smart shoot 81% from the line and be so terrible everywhere else? He was below 30% from 3 and below 50% at the rim last year. You couldn't play Smart and Hill at the same time, but long term if you could teach him to shoot...

I can not recall a single verifiable hit he has ever had?

At least not one that can not just as easily be explained by making vague, obvious speculation he can retroactively say he was referring to?

Kinda like now.

Chauncey Billups turns down Cavs job offer.

He had already debuted in the Big3 league, so it looks like he's choosing that over the Cavs front office.

With Ferry on board, we may be looking at Schroder too if ATL is really looking to tank. He is about to start his 4 yr/$70M extension.

Isn't Smart due to get paid as well? Doesn't seem like giving up more than a first and filler seems worth it. He's not what we need though I like the dog in him a lot.

him and rubio confuse me

I can understand finishing poorly at the rim, but both are 80+% FT shooters but cannot even hit 35% from 3.

All while Austin Rivers who shoots FTs at like 60% can shoot 35% from 3.

Schroder is an interesting name we haven't talked about. Kid has improved every year. A lot of money but at 23 he could be very interesting on this team

Any competent guard is welcomed at this point.

Schroder seems like a typical Demps guard. He's just an ok finisher that doesn't get to the line much. But having a starting caliber player on a reasonable contract can be pretty big.

Simple answer is FT can be significantly improved by simple repetition. A FT is from the exact same spot on the floor and at the exact same angle towards the rim. Repetition can make that motion almost second nature.

As far as why AR shoots 60% from the line by 35% from 3, I would say that's on him not putting in the work.

Why can't "B" be Beverly? or Batum?

hopefully, because Bledsoe doesnt make this team dangerous. Why the do people want a scoring oriented guard when we have 2 big men that can average 25ppg? frick do you want to take the ball out of their hands with a ball hogging guard like bledsoe?

one thing with the tax that Danny LeRoux said on one of the Duncd on pods-

say you have to pay $5M in taxes. if you can make the playoffs, you can make that back in revenue from 2 home playoff games, even in New Orleans.

questions for the Pels right now would be: given all the moves made for Western teams, will they even make the playoffs? and going over now could be a problem if you keep Cousins due to repeater penalty clock

It's not that you want a ball hogging guard, but you do want a guard that's a good enough ball handler/passer that he can get the ball to AD/DC and someone that can be a threat the defense has to respect. It's hard to check all those boxes with reasonably available players.

They do not want to be in the tax this season. I cannot imagine them going slightly into the tax and then paying repeater next year. If we become a tax paying team, I think it has to be next year or the following year.

right.

one of the things they mentioned was trying to dump Ajinca close to the deadline to sneak back under the tax line.

so why did we re-sign Jrue again?

6'0" bledsoe is an exciting player but not what we need. Lin is a much better fit as MM eludes
