if we can do this trade without giving up a pick, then hell yeah i'd do it.
Yeah, don’t look at that deal as solving the 3. Look at it as adding a player as useful as Hill/Ajinca this year and a $19 million expiring to package with a 1st the next. Jrue might still have to be the big wing defender, but he can handle that role well enough. The main negative is you probably need to dump Moore at some point to avoid the tax.

Did you discuss your Harris and GR3 FA signings with Kumar or do both think alike?
Like those two options and would love to get Tomas Satoransky on this team somehow.
Any chance we can make a trade for Tomas?

I don't really want to give up Etwaun, but if we could dump him for a late 1st, I'd be fine with that.
Boston has the Clippers first, Atlanta has Cleveland's, Philly's will be late.
I'm still really high an Taurean Prince, so if we could send Moore to a team that needs him and wants to maybe dump some salary as well, send a 1st to Atlanta so we get Prince, and have whatever team picked up Moore send Atlanta some matching salary to complete the trade, i'd be very happy.
Not sure how this all works but could do something like Denver sending Faried to Atlanta, Atlanta sending us Prince, and Denver getting Moore to replace Barton, as well as some picks moving around.
Jonathon Simmons for Moore saves us $2M, but i am assuming we need more than that in savings.

The Mavericks will make DeAndre Jordan their top target in free agency after Jordan informed the Clippers that he will bypass next season's $24.1 million player option to become a free agent, league sources say.

Etwaun has value I'm not giving up anything. I would want something in return

Woj: Market for Cousins? Only S&T market & that may not be there. For Cousins, he'll have to show he can come back on a shorter deal. New Orleans will do a short deal. They have a great chance to get him back.
The well is drying up for Boogie

Good to this Crewz guy. He knows his stuff.

There is no way E’twaun is worth a late first. At best he is a mid 2nd type of player, but hopefully he is a guy you can just dump if needed. He’s a role player on a fair contract, but he is more of a tweeter in the bad sense and his contract is going to look worse after this free agent class.

Deep inside, I want us to sign boogie to some cheap contract like a 2+1 for like 60m total. Even if he's disgruntled, it gives us so much more flexibility for the next few years

I dont think his contract will look bad. He's got 2 years left. His salary isn't outrageous, especially for his production. I doubt you get a first for him right now, maybe at the deadline, maybe next off season, maybe. His contract is enough to be a nice trade asset as both an expiring and/or a contributing player.
Kyle korver fetched a first fairly recently. If etwaun starts the season off staying above 40% again, he's an asset that has value.

It would be so kewl if someone posted a LEBRON SPOTTED AT MSY!!! thread

Korver is a gravity shooter, E’twaun is not despite shooting 40% from the perimeter on decent volume. Teams have to plan for Korver’s shooting and CLE was desperate for spacing.
I don’t think Etwaun’s contract will look bad, but there is going to be a ton of space in 2019 and 2020, so I don’t think him being an expiring is worth much and his production is about right for that money especially after this offseason where a bunch of good players are going to take $8M.
I don’t see any scenario where Moore is a nice trade asset unless we are also taking back bad salary. I see him as slightly positive to neutral with him being closer to neutral in this space starved environment.

I dont disagree with you. I'm just hoping someone thinks hes worth a late first.

quote:Anybody hear what type of deal Nerlens is looking at?
Most likely is we run it back and add some minor pieces that we hope play above their pay grade.
He's basically what everyone hopes Diallo eventually becomes. If he's interested in a cheap one-year image rehab season, I think he'd fit perfectly. Can play in any combo with Davis, Cousins, or Mirotic, effectively, without needing the ball.

I think Nerlens will end up on the wizard. Him or Dwight Howard

a guy I'm really interested in bringing in is Glenn Robinson iii. Haven't been hearing much chatter about him.

Crewz mentioned him earlier in this thread as a target of ours
