The difference between the 28th best free agent in this class and the 72nd is negligible. All about the opportunity they are given on the team they go to. Joe Harris would be out of the league if he signed with some team that didn't have minutes to give him 2 years ago. Instead, he got minutes, was given the green light, and got good coaching and now he is "#35"
There are like 100 guys in the whole world who would be very good no matter where they go. I have always believed that the only thing separating the #223 guy in the world from #1,223 is opportunity and fit. The Pels need to find a piece that fits well and also need to be able to give him the opportunity to fail, so that he can really succeed.

I’m simply commenting on how ESPN judges guys. I would have thought GR3 would be higher up.

They look at stats. And Robinson's counting stats when you look at them without context aren't impressive. You are betting on those small flashes becoming more of the norm. While Harris actually produced so you don't have to project as much.
Its classic high floor, lower ceiling vs the inverse

I’d like either, but I lean a little more toward Harris

Harris’s 3 pt shooting would be a really nice help for us.

Dougie mcbuckets will likely be available, although hes basically just Darius Miller.

It’d be nice to pick up any of these shooters as a Miller replacement on a long term deal for a little less than the TP MLE. We don’t want Miller leveraging the Pels into a Max (MLE level) pay raise next year.

That and if I can get a bench wing who is a 3pt specialist, I'll take him over Miller.
Dude is a great shooter, but the amount of times he fouls a 3pt shooter makes me wanna flip a table.

Miller has turned himself into a good low volume 3 pt shooter. That’s nice to have. But he really doesn’t give you anything else at all.

Would this deal be legal and would any of the teams involved do it?

Receive Porter, Satoransky, Lopez
Wizards trade Porter, Satoransky, 2 2nds
Receive Cousins, Valentine
Bulls trade Lopez, Valentine
Receive Moore, Solo, picks

With all the guards available in free agency, I wonder if Elfrid Payton could be had on a minimum contract.

Pels are meeting with Monroe on Monday according to Sharief Ishaq

Meh. I wouldn’t want to pay Monroe much money as a 4th big.
Assuming we resign Boogie, Monroe would get a good amount of minutes early in the season and then not a lot after the ASB.
If it’s a very very cheap deal, could be a useful player.

So Barton is getting 4/50 from the Nuggs...

I’m getting the feeling that not a lot guys that have bird rights with their team are going to willfully change franchises. Too much money to pass up imo.

I knew Barton would get a solid contract. He’s entering his prime years. 4 for 50 is not bad at all.

Wow, Harris and McDermott already gone.
