Sucks for Lonzo but I don’t have any sympathy for the Bulls here. They tampered to get their guy and they got him. Buyer beware.

At least he has Big Baller Brand to fall back on.

LOL!

They tampered for that outcome.

I really don’t want to victory lap any part of this.

It’s pretty sad tbh.

This is a guy that did embrace the community and youth while he was here, even if he never truly truly yearned to be a New Orleans Pelican.

As I said, I don’t have hard feelings towards Lonzo.

OTOH, I don’t have any sympathy for the Bulls given how they handled the chase to get him. They went all in on a team which looked pretty good until Lonzo went down, at which point the wheels came off the last 1.5 seasons.

Honestly don’t care. He, his crew, and Chicago planned his exit from the pels for months. They get what they deserve

He will be fine. He’s only worth around $100m.

I think he also lives in constant pain and has mobility trouble in his mid 20s.

I would take that deal every day.

Unfortunate but better to happen with Lonzo on the Bulls than Pels. Besides the obvious basketball reasons the Pels medical & training staff would be getting blistered unfairly.

100 mill and I don’t think he’s ever come close to finishing an entire year. Exactly why I didn’t want to give him an extension. He’s been hurt his entire career. NBA contracts are the worse.

So he deserved a career ending injury?

Craziest thing to me is how perfect healthy Lonzo could have been on this team. A 6’6 PG that is able to defend, pass, and hit from deep on high volume. Beautiful half court lob passes. Lonzo and Zion should have played their entire career together. The unfortunate thing is it’s starting to sound like they did.

No one should be happy about a guys career being over. Wish Lonzo all the best.

Feel bad for him. If Zion needs a wake up call to not take his body/youth for granted, it doesn't get much clearer than this

I also think griff and the pels medical team knew lonzo’s knee was fricked. They were totally against bringing him back and couldn’t even bluff like they were gonna bring him in FA.

I think Griff was playing the odds given Lonzo’s career to that point.

Good player but constantly hurt and didn’t want to be in New Orleans. Sounds like Eric Gordon TBH.

Imagine the shitstorm for this team if we overpay to bring Lonzo back only for him to get a career ending injury. That shifts the narrative from “Zion isn’t putting in effort to come back” back to “NO training staff is still incompetent.”

If only Griff had pulled the trigger on a Ball for Markkanen deal at the deadline instead of holding out for an additional first rounder.

Seriously, although no one, not even Utah thought he would turn into this.
