Feels like everyone is waiting for Paul George to be done with then you will hear more about BI.

Gotcha. I feel like there’s a three team deal that would be great for Pels Rockets and Hawks that can be completed before the draft starts tonight.

Fellas, exactly a year ago we were in deep discussions to trade either Zion or BI for Scoot. We didn’t pull that off and that worked in our favor.

Here we are again. Will Griff pull the trigger and will it be for the better?

This board is going to be such a S**T show today.

I just wanted to say only 7 teams in the NBA won more games than the Pels this season.

If we had beaten the Spurs like we should have, it would have been 5.

Remember that while people act like we were terrible last season.

Which shows you that if Pels are considering major changes- its what you do in the postseason that matters. Im glad Griff is realizing that.

Griff is trying to improve the team while also dealing with the inevitability of a BI and Trey extension hitting at the same time. Our two best players were hurt in the postseason, making it hard to take anything from that. But melt away all

I'd like to add that only 4 teams in the entire league had more wins against teams over .500 than us.

Curious from both: Do you think Ingram is better than Young?

I think Ingram is more efficient and a better teammate. I also believe Ingram is much better defensively, even if he isn't a "good" defender. They are similar level of players, but Trae is a far worse fit.

Why not go into the luxury tax, pay both and run it back since we won 49 games and they were hurt in the playoffs? Lets be honest if they actually did that, how many fans would go apeshit? The truth is NBA regular season doesn’t matter.

This doesn't matter IMO.

This proves we should have played even better...

We hsd many many collapses and ended up the 8 seed while knowing that stat.

That's a problem

This is cool to see and maddening at the same time considering how many close games we couldn't win/gave away.

We had to be 1st in that category, right?

Ball stopper doesn't mean you always shoot. It means you always want to control the ball on offense.

Lol, this is what this team needs. There’s a reason our record sucks in the 4th quarter and we lose all kinds of games we had leads in the last two years. I think his gravity opens up more room for Zion.

I think they're in the same range, probably from 25-40 each year.

I think both have structural issues with how they want to play on offense and both could get a lot better if they played within an offense. I think BI is the only one of the 2 who has shown this on the court.

I think neither are great defenders but Trae has hard limitations (size, athleticism) that prevent him from being even a good defender.

I think offensively if both "bought in" Trae has a higher upside.

So you admit majority of your argument was based off ringer rankings.

No. I never said, nor implied that. You created that.

Do they much better roster?

Yes. It's largely the same as the run with a more developed OO and Murray added.

trae is a creator, volume 3 shooter (at least spaces floor better) and a better ball handler.

Who was the Hawks 2nd best player this year?

Trae

Who was the Hawks 2nd best player to start last year?

Trae

I will stop the bantz, and say Murray.

quote:

Who was the Hawks 2nd best player to start 3 years ago?

Probably Capela, but maybe Collins with 10 fingers.

They have had a better roster the past 2 years. Murray is a lot better than Collins and they still have Capela, OO, Bog, Hunter, etc. They did lose Heurter, but who rates him that highly anymore?

quote:

The fact that they are pretty much a top 5 offense with him on the court and bottom 5 with him off should tell you all you need to know about Trae, and their roster.

What about defense?

I want BI on the team but paying him 50 a year is wild when we have other needs and a decent replacement in Murphy.
