I agree with you but if Griff is looking at this bridges trade- he may be thinking the same thing. Which makes it less likely that he pulls the trigger on a BI trade unless he too fleeces a team. This trade really screwed us because it set the bar ridiculously high.

Is anyone else in Lavine talks besides the Kings?
Wonder how the 3 team trade talks are going this offseason. Feels like a lot of teams needing a 3rd or S&T to make things work this. Probably slowing down a few moves.

Again I agree with you. Mikal has 2 years left and he wanted go to knicks. But my point being is I don’t trust Griff and the way he over values his own players. It scares me that this trade will make Griff demand more for BI and stall any trades.

Or they pay him, he plays with no pressure at all, and they build off him.
And doable also comes at his price. I'd rather spend more assets on Kessler or less money on Hartenstein/ Robinson for the cost.

Sadly, it will just take a lot more.. like everyone else, the Hawks are trying to improve for the future. I think for what he will be traded for, we just won’t pull the trigger. Everything that I mentioned earlier literally has to happen. It’s the most possible it’s ever been for a star and it’s exciting for everyone. I just don’t think Griffin has the balls to use the war chest AND players on this specific player. I really hope he does. We, as fans, know that these are the funnest times in basketball as a small market. We have been blessed so far with multiple stars over the years. Let’s look at playing for fans and the team and get the fan base up. If it doesn’t work out, he can still get you decent returns.
And yes.
It will require Herb Jones.. and that’s just the starting point. Ingram, herb and a BUNCH of pics. ONLY if the spurs aren’t willing to unload their picks/Hawks looking for more players than picks. They have us beat.

Ingram and Bridges are on the same level as players, they both will get overpaid on their next contract and neither one can be a #1 on a team, even though BI actually had a little more success than Bridges at it. Mikal plays more games, thats it

Not even close lol. Griff maybe had a chance during the KD trade to reroute Ingram and we get Bridges. Since Ingram gets compared as a poor mans Durant. But that ship has since sailed.
