And Stein is a real news breaker with team connections and works for Bally's.

Does ATL seem like the most likely destination right now?

Sounds like players under contract and picks are the primary pieces. If we wanted a S&T guy, we certainly couldn’t move before free agency officially starts.

I don't know about destination because it's really hard to tell which direction the Hawks want to go because so many conflicting rumors have come out, but being the trade partner that gives us stuff for BI, the Hawks make the most sense to me of the likely options.

I like Ingram for Murray straight up. Or...Ingram and Nance for Murray and Okongwu. But not sure Hawks go for that.

I'd consider Dyson in place of Nance.

That doesn't necessarily impact a Pels trade with the Hawks, unless we aren't sending BI over to them.

ETA: if they are trading for BI they have to send more salary back than Murray regardless of when the trade is done.

It really does seem like we are going to make a BI for Murray + Clint trade.

If the Hawks keep the number 1 pick, it does seem like Donovan Clingan is the pick, and that would only make sense if you keep Trey. The Hawks would have their frontcourt of the future with Jalen and Donovan. Trey would have a big time rim protector to cover him defensively, and Trey will get Donovan a ton of easy baskets. B.I. may be a good fit offensively with Trey as well.

Can’t happen, Atlanta has to send out more salary. The three most likely in order of what I believe would happen:
1) BI and Nance for Murray and Capella
2) BI and Dyson for Murray and Okongwu
3) BI, Nance and Dyson for Murray, Okongwu and Bogi

The first one I would hate the most unless we have a subsequent trade lined up for Kessler, I just don’t like Capella with this team

The dirty little secret is that Murray hasn't been good defensively in Atl. I hope Willie can pull out the defensive menace we saw in San Antonio.

It’s a pretty poorly kept secret that the Pelicans are looking for a defensive center or a young point guard/guard who plays the game and shoots well from 3. And its whoever wants BI and has one of those, that’s probably going to be the trade partner.

This would be good.

Get your PG, another shooter, and a backup athletic big.

Then get another big like Kessler and maybe a CJ trade down the road and you're in a nice spot imo.

I would do this and I am a huge Dyson fan. I really like Okongwu though and if you're getting Murray what's the realistic path to Dyson becoming a starter?

We have Herb for All NBA defense, Murray just needs to be better than CJ, which I expect him to be. Add a defensive center replacing JV and your starting defense takes a huge step as soon as they realize Trey should be starting over CJ.

I want them to get Kessler but I have this gut feeling they’re going to move up and try to get Clingan. I like Clingan but not sure if I want to empty our future picks to get him.

I doubt ATL does it. BI and Dyson for Murray and Okongwu is pretty much a wash so it comes down to Nance for Bogi and I think Bogi is much more valuable than nance. If adding #21 gets it done then im in cuz Bogi would be a great fit off the bench

I would think Griff and Willie would have already talked to CJ about coming off the bench as the 6th man while still getting 28-30 MPG, and I don’t see why CJ would have a problem with it. He wants to win first and foremost, and it would also extend his career

Depends on how much they would value breathing room under the tax as that would save them around 5 million.

I think for them it might be more about moving off Bogi’s contract. I’m also not sure if we like Bogi- considering he isn’t really that great on defense and Willie wants his wings to play D. Hence, Hawkins rotting on the bench.
