Yikes. Did Griff play hardball with Kings and lose? Kings were like we’ll just move on to Derozan.

Bulls still have to find someone willing to eat salary from the Kings. Unless they feel like giving Detroit picks, it may be an uphill battle.

The Orlando Magic and small forward Franz Wagner have agreed to a 5-year, $224 million maximum contract extension, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The deal could become worth as much as $269 million, Wojnarowski added.

I don't know, we heard weird leaks yesterday saying the Kings might want both BI and Derozan. Also, this isn't a done deal yet, this could be Sacramento's counter to "Spurs, Hornets and Hawks want BI".

Lol they doubled down on a core that lost in first round and only added KCP. Not really understanding the logic here. Team makes playoffs and thinks they’re close to a championship smh.

Have them triple down on stupid… send them BI for WCJ and a package of picks and swaps.

GSW and LAL are just getting bullied.

Should start hearing rumors about BI and Bridges pretty soon.

No one likes the Lakers in general and no one wants to deal with LeBron and Klutch in particular, I’m sure.

I’m also thinking DeRozan is still pissed that he was supposed to be signed by the Lakers a few years ago, went on vacation, and came back to hear Westbrick was traded for.

Yeah, Griff may have overplayed his hand.

"in talks about a S&T" seems to be a little more down the road than "X teams are interested."

It does, and I haven't looked up Woj's full report on it, but they make it sound like it is dependent on getting a 3rd team involved to take back money. While that's not a high hurdle, that just stuck out as a ready made excuse for the negotiations to fall apart rather than "just one more step and DeRozan is a King".

Franz Wagner getting the rookie max has made Trey getting paid situation a little more interesting.

Yeah, I was stunned when I read that. Very good player, but did not think he would get max.

I think it makes it more difficult for us to do a deal with the Kings even if they wanted both BI and Derozan. To do the S&T, they likely will have to unload Barnes and maybe more. What will be left to do a deal with Pels?

Well if they pivot to wanting Derozen and Charlotte’s interest in BI is real, send Bertans to Chicago so they have expiring salary, Barnes, Lyles and a protected pick from Sacramento to Pels.

Charlotte sends Richards, 25 1st 15-30 protected, 27 Dallas 1st and 28 Charlotte 1st to Pels for Ingram. If the 25 1st doesn’t convey Pels get their unprotected 27 1st (they would still have a Miami 1st in 27 so it would still meet stepian rules)

Out: Ingram
In: Barnes, Lyles, Richards, 4 picks

It really depends on what DD is asking for on a contract. Barnes, Huerter, Lyles and Carter would get them where they need to be salary wise to take back Ingram at 36 and DD at 16-18

Barnes+ Lyles+ Duarte+ Huerter = 49mil

Possibly Carter and then just picks. More likely WCJ is in play if we can't get Barnes.

I still hope there's a plan A and (1) of Barnes/ WCJ is just backup talk.

I feel like Ayton/ Simmons are the fail safe if everything else falls apart.

I said if they had to unload Barnes (so he would not be remaining). I cannot see the Pels interested in Lyles, Duarte and Huerter unless they throw in Carter and 3-4 1st rounders.

Although I honestly cannot see them being interested in both Derozan and BI as they both work in the same space. There is no fit together (especially on a team with Sabonis and Fox)
