Hell, single easiest fallback is making Capela part of the Murray trade when it is finalized.
We would have to come up with some more salary to match his $22 million salary, so would still require some dealing.

I dont understand the doom posts. What in y'alls mind makes you think that we don't have a plan and everything is just falling apart?

To me its not doom, its about negotiation & tactics.

The longer things go on for, we have less leverage. The less bigs on the market, the more teams can hold out for (esp if the plan is to trade Ingram). Vise versa with the SF market for them I guess.

My biggest concern is the FA market dried up (starters and backups) and now its all about the trade market. You really have to have that plan locked down or teams can willy nilly decide "oh nvm"

They’re probably out on Lauri then because you know Ainge would demand Murray

I see the Lauri implications for that, I wonder what that means for BI. Is BI not considered a star in this context, or is Griff demanding Murray too?

Yeah, there is no way they could get Lauri without Murray. I would not be surprised if Lauri is not dealt. Ainge will ask for the moon and stars. Heck, he is reportedly asking for 2 1st rounders for freaking Kessler.

I don't think we are going against anyone. I doubt we are seriously trying to get Lauri.

Can one of them be our top 4 Bucks pick for 25? Knicks dealt the rest of the spots to Brooklyn.

I took this more as SAC is 100% trading for BI and Lauri is out.

We could have easily tried to bid up the Lauri talks so that SAC had no choice but to trade for BI.

Then we can say "well we are taking Carter and your picks but atleast you keep Keegan right"

Three way trade with us getting Kessler, Huerter, and Barnes while sending over picks from Sacramento?

To be fair, everyone signed elsewhere. I wouldn't take a cut to get a bunch of scrubs

Yeah, I don’t see Griff trading for a guy that’s expiring that he knows will ask for 50 million dollars a year when he won’t pay Ingram 50 million

Noooooo.

Someone please show me a minute breakdown of how tf this works so I don't have to post a 5th one showing why it doesn't.

Backup C/ PF is STILL priority. You take on the salary of WCJ before adding a #5 SG

Flip Huerter to Orlando for WCJ.

They need shooters and have centers.

Yall can DV me all you want but its pretty common sense shite.

We have:

Murray/ Jose

CJ/ Hawk/ Reeves

Trey/ Herb/ Ryan

Zion/ ??/ JRE

????/ ????

There's (3) spots that have 1-2 players. And yall would rather force less minutes for Jose/ Hawk or CJ into a PG role > actually getting an adequate players for needed positions.

Only to take back a shooter making 15+ mil that will only play 10-15min max as our #6 scorer (at best). Makes no damn sense.

Allegedly he gave them like 3 names he would take a pay cut for. Klay was one of them. All 3 have signed, so he took max.

Think read he might take $1M pay cut or something to stay below 2nd apron, but I didn’t pay much attn to it.

He apparently got a no trade clause as part of the deal.

Given how that worked out for the Wizards, I think the Lakers are about to get fricked sans lube.

Isn't that standard on a 1 year deal (this is a 1+1)?

I don’t think that matters here because the Lake Show has full Bird rights.

Normal no trade on a one year contract is when someone would lose Bird rights through a move.
