They play in OKC next. That's good his old players can be there for him. Such terrible news.

Terrible news. People that let their dogs crawl all over them while they drive just baffle me. So dangerous.

Hopefully Ryan Anderson is returning the favor from when his fiancée passed and Monty was there for him. I wouldn't be opposed to giving Ryno a game or two off to go up and be with him. This season is a mess anyway.

It might be a long time before he coaches again, his kids are going to be his number 1 priority going forward and NBA life would get in the way. He is going to get a ton of support though and I am sure Ryan will reach out. This really is just terrible news.

Wow, this is heartbreaking. Monty is such a solid guy, can't even fathom what he's going through.

I know it will not help anything or anyone to dwell on something like this but I can't wrap my head around some of the details.

Why would a caring pet owner put their dog in such a terribly unsafe position to begin with? How do you cross over a median and hit a car head on presumably sober? Did your dog impair your driving or was she texting while her dog was in her lap while operating a vehicle on the highway? They have had really decent weather all week...so it wasn't rain or severe operating conditions. No mentions of any foul play in terms of being forced into the lane by an aggressive driver, no tire blowout, etc.

Rationally speaking how does this happen? Monty and his children had someone very precious stricken from their lives and the only potential cause being leaked currently via media reports is blatant and senseless stupidity by 1 driver.
