+1000... Social media isn't the place to express condolences to someone you know personally.

Exactly, if I tweet and don't call or visit, we weren't that close at all.

First thing I thought of after hearing this. That was such a touching story of Monty being there for Ryan. Now he can repay Monty by being there for him for this.

Sad stuff man

He wasn't available to comment after last night and left unusually early

No doubt to try to contact Monty or something along those lines.

He doesn't tweet very often

Yeah...I always talk to someone directly about personal shite.

Condolences, birthdays, congrats...that should be personal.

As they drove in silence, Williams kept thinking that it was fine if he blew a game, but he couldn’t mess up now. Once home, he huddled with his wife, Ingrid, and Ryan in the family room, praying. Ingrid’s brother had committed suicide recently. She knew not to say it was going to be O.K., because it wasn’t. “This is going to be hard for a long time,” she told Ryan.

That night, as the family pastor came and went, Ryan cried so much that it felt as if he were dry heaving or bleeding internally. Each convulsion ripped his insides apart. Around 1 a.m., at Ingrid’s urging, Monty brought one of his sons’ mattresses down to the living room. There the two men lay through the night, Ryan curled on the sofa and his coach on the floor next to him. When Ryan wanted to talk, they talked. Otherwise there was only his muted sobbing. Finally, just after the sun came up, Ryan fell into a fitful sleep.

That was rough to watch and Gentry is pretty far removed from the situation. I'm glad the OKC game is next. Hopefully the team being so close to Monty can help somehow.

Pop wouldn't answer any questions about it last night after the game. He was on the verge of tears, and didn't do his pre-game presser

KD walked out of his media session, as well. Players around the league tweeting their support of Monty, especially former players. They all know what a family man he is and how much his wife means to him. So tough to see.

More details coming out. 3 of their kids were in the car. They do not have life threatening injuries.

Ryno told Jrue and other team members what happened.
