If Indiana would give up turner and Oladipo for Jrue, that would be one of the better returns we could get imo

Have they extended Bam yet? Its all on him. If that is done soon, they are out of the Giannis sweepstakes (although sign and trade is still viable)..

Even with the Bam extension they have a max slot available

What you are saying is erroneous

I would definitely like smart and 6. Would Boston give up Hayward, Smart, Langford, 14, and 26 for Jrue? Just seems like a lot to me

Normally, no. But now that Harden is in their division, they know they need someone that can somewhat guard him

Was told the Hawks and Celtics talked today. The issue is that Atlanta doesnt really have a ton of interest in more picks, so 14, 26, &30 isnt terribly appealing. But both teams have looked around to see what current players those picks could fetch. That is more appealing to ATL

One framework I heard that was discussed had Hayward and a pick going to Sacramento, Buddy, a pick, and Cory Joseph going to Atlanta, and Boston getting 6 and Huerter (which would go to the Pels as part of their trade for Jrue)

I guess that'd be something like

SAC: Hayward, #14
ATL: Buddy, Corey Joseph, #12
NOP: #6, Huerter, Other stuff from Boston

I wish we could get a better player than Huerter out of Atlanta.

Also that doesn’t seem like enough for Atlanta to move down 6 spots.

Buddy Hield alone is plenty for Atlanta to move back.

I think they would be ecstatic to do that

Buddy probably does nothing for them since his defense won’t be good enough to play with Young. Gonna be no better than Huerter.

Trying to figure how can end up with Myles Turner (Ind) & Marcus Smart (Bos)

In a Jrue move...

Maybe have to throw Zo in??

#6, Huerter, and Smart would be a pretty solid package.

I like Huerter, I think he could fit in the JJ role as a high minute guard off of the bench, and spot starter if needed.

ETA: he’s not as good of a shooter, but is a better facilitator. After reading up and watching more of his tape I’ve came around on him.

I do not agree. Is he even better than Huerter? I’d say not really.

We aren’t getting Smart.

The pieces they are referring to are guys like Ojeleye and Carsen Edwards.
