I got some but in no particular order. Let me know which ones you think could happen, you think I’m taking crazy pills, or what are some y’all think could happen? Probably like 1 at most happens lol.

1)NAW gets his turnovers in check and flashes Lou Williams type spark off the bench.
2)Bledsoe is unhappy and wants to gtfo so we trade him to the Clippers for Reggie Jackson(who looked pretty darn good with SVG in Detroit).
3) Steven Adams actually shoots 3’s. Makes a Brooke Lopez type tweak to his game and shoots it at a 33% rate and just enough to help stretch the floor. Adams has been known to shoot lots of corner 3’s before games and making a good amount of them.
4) Lonzo picks up where he left off and continues to make catch and shoot 3’s while Zion, Ingram, and Kira attack the basket. Thus allowing us to stretch the floor on all sides more often.
5) Zion gets to the free throw line 5(10ish attempts) times a game.
6) Kira Lewis shows flashes of this De’Aron Fox/Ja Morant/Kemba Walker hybrid.
7) Melli becomes a serviceable team defender thanks to Adams. Thus allowing him to stay on the court for his offense.
8) Jaxson Hayes not only learns how to play team defense but he uses his speed to get down the court and if he doesn’t get a transition bucket, he learns how to post up smaller guys who had to pick him up in transition and score on them. Making other teams bigs have to run the court to help stop this freak.
9) Detroit realizes they actually have decent young talent and look to build 4 years from now. Blake Griffin realizes this and facilitates a trade to New Orleans/interest in signing in the offseason.
10) similar to 9 but with Pacers and Myles Turner.
11) Kira/NAW can run the offense which allows a 2nd team of Kira/NAW, Hart, Gabriel, Melli, Hayes/Hernangomez to actually be a solid group.

He’s literally made one in his entire career and it was that football throw from 3/4 court against us.

This is a horrendous prediction and in no way “slightly realistic”

Same with Brooke Lopez. Go look at his basketball reference. Dude was a post player until all of the sudden he started shooting 4 3’s a game when he was 28. I’m aware that’s a stretch lol(pun not intended but maybe it should be).

1. Shortened training camp + new coaching scheme make Hayes, Lewis, and NAW start the season looking like G-league level players

2. Playing in front of 600 fans every night starts to piss Zion off

3. Lonzo benefits from running a professional NBA offense rather than Gentry's AAU system

I mean you are dead right about Lopez, but for what Adams does you don't want him that far from the rim on offense. He needs to be there for the offensive rebounds and dump offs.

That said it would be a nice surprise if he hit one every now and then, but I definitely don't expect him to go all Lopez. Maybe the occasional pick and pop surprise 3.

1) 82 and fricking 0 baby!!!

2) Zion drags his ball sack across AD’s bitch arse brow 14 times in one game.

3) Full capacity is allowed just in time for the playoffs and the Blender goes fricking nuts for our playoff run

What's he going to do, force his way to LA where there's no fans?

He’s not the first to mention this, I’ve heard it mentioned on a pod this week. I think it was KOC that threw it out there as a question.

There's plenty of things that Gentry sucks, but offense isn't one of them. I believe reports were that players
were having trouble picking up His/Finch's offense. The offense may not have many set plays but there are a lot of complex on the fly adjustments that have to be made. It is far from an AAU offense.

I don't even understand this. There seems to be this idea among Pels fans that Melli was a good offensive player last year, but that he was a bad defender -- the truth is exactly the opposite!

Melli was brought to the US to be a 3-pt threat, but he only shot 34% ... when he actually took the shot. Far, far too often, he hesitated and passed up open 3s, often in conjunction with shuffling his feet and getting a quick traveling call. Teams did not fear Melli on the perimeter. He did not have the shooting gravity that we wanted him to have.

All that added up to Melli's finishing the year tenth on the team in points per 36.

By contrast, Melli was a decent defender. He's too slow to guard elite PFs and too short to guard elite centers, but he was usually in the right position and put forth good effort, and he's a quality rebounder.

1. Lou Williams is a great scorer. NAW just isn't that type of player, but i can see him reducing his turnovers and being a positive on the floor for us. His defense can get him playing more.

2. Absolutely not with Reggie Jackson. Bledsoe is going to like it here, and we are going to like him.

3. Steven Adams is a career 55% free throw shooter. Lopez shoots almost 80% for his career. Adams will never develop a 3.

4. eh. Lonzo catch and shoot 3's don't really do anything to stretch the floor. we've been over this before.

5. Nothing far fetched about that.

6. I can get behind Kira having a good year.

7. I never thought Melli's defense was that bad. I think he's pretty nimble for a big guy. It's his shooting that was bad at times. Our defense as a whole was terrible, it's hard to blame one or two guys on the floor for it.

8. Jaxson already hustles down the court. I do'nt see him developing a post game though.

9. We don't need Blake Griffin. We need a SF. Otto Porter is someone we should target if the price is right.

10. We do'nt need Myles Turner either. We have our 5 in Adams and Hayes. We need to get a true small ball lineup with Zion at the 5, b/c that's the future of this team.

11. Our second team was good last year. We often lost b/c of our starters, not our bench.

8) Jaxson Hayes not only learns how to play team defense

I'm not sure what you mean. Jaxson was a valuable help defender at times, coming off his man to help challenge a shot at the rim -- and blocking a lot of them.

What sometimes made Jaxson unplayable was his utter bewilderment at defending the pick and roll. He'd make dumb guesses, get turned around, and the result would be an easy dunk.

Maybe, when you say "team defense," you mean that he needs to learn to get DREBs? Because I'm with you on that. Jaxson's inability to box out and his inability to hit FTs are the big things that are holding him back from more playing time.

He wasn’t good in pick n roll, he was getting caved in down in the paint, and picking guys up at the rim was decent. Just because I guy blocks shots doesn’t mean they are a good defender.

My same hope every preseason.
We actually have a decent start to the season so we don’t spend the remainder of season hoping for some near impossible remainder of season winning percentage to make the playoffs.
We start closer to 10 and 10 than to 5 and 15.

I will rank the likelyhood of each prediction on a 1-10 scale. 1 being unlikely and 10 being a guarantee. a 5 is a 50/50 chance.

quote:

1)NAW gets his turnovers in check and flashes Lou Williams type spark off the bench.

5 - The kid has some real ability if he can get the TOs out of his system.

quote:

2)Bledsoe is unhappy and wants to gtfo so we trade him to the Clippers for Reggie Jackson(who looked pretty darn good with SVG in Detroit).

2 - its too specific. Bledsoe may become unhappy but I doubt that exact trade happens.

quote:

3) Steven Adams actually shoots 3’s. Makes a Brooke Lopez type tweak to his game and shoots it at a 33% rate and just enough to help stretch the floor. Adams has been known to shoot lots of corner 3’s before games and making a good amount of them.

1 - Tigers don't change their stripes.

quote:

4) Lonzo picks up where he left off and continues to make catch and shoot 3’s while Zion, Ingram, and Kira attack the basket. Thus allowing us to stretch the floor on all sides more often.

8 - I think this will be the plan.

quote:

5) Zion gets to the free throw line 5(10ish attempts) times a game.

8 - I think if zion isnt drawing fouls then he isn't playing to his strengths.

quote:

6) Kira Lewis shows flashes of this De’Aron Fox/Ja Morant/Kemba Walker hybrid.

5 - I'd like to think this is higher but you never know with the NBA draft.

quote:

7) Melli becomes a serviceable team defender thanks to Adams. Thus allowing him to stay on the court for his offense.

5 - Possible but I think Melli has physical limitations that will be hard to overcome.

quote:

8) Jaxson Hayes not only learns how to play team defense but he uses his speed to get down the court and if he doesn’t get a transition bucket, he learns how to post up smaller guys who had to pick him up in transition and score on them. Making other teams bigs have to run the court to help stop this freak.

4 - I think that it will take Hayes a few years before he makes a huge jump. Hopefully Adams helps groom him.

quote:

9) Detroit realizes they actually have decent young talent and look to build 4 years from now. Blake Griffin realizes this and facilitates a trade to New Orleans/interest in signing in the offseason.

1 - we signed Adams and zion is our 4, I don't think we are trading for Griffin.

quote:

10) similar to 9 but with Pacers and Myles Turner.

2 - slightly more possible than Griffin but I still highly doubt it happens.

quote:

11) Kira/NAW can run the offense which allows a 2nd team of Kira/NAW, Hart, Gabriel, Melli, Hayes/Hernangomez to actually be a solid group.

4 - I'd say that its hopeful at best.
