Ok. Now we are talking.

Give me

6, Reddish, Dedmon, Celtics Young Player

I’d ask for Carsen Edwards or Robert Williams from Celtics I guess.

I’d be ok with deal.

Don't really want Dedmond. I think that he is a waste of $26 million and has a bad attitude. Robert Williams would not be terrible. Boston does not really have any good young players (other than their stars).

The framework of the deal that I was told was discussed:

Hawks get: Hayward, Poirier, 14, 26, 30

Pels get: Dedmon, (one of) Reddish, Hunter or Huerter, #6, maybe a Celtics young player too

Celtics get: Jrue

That’d be nice, Pels would have to come something else I’d think tho

No one wants Dedmon. He’s the cost of doing business.

Probably a situation where the young asset selected would determine whether or not we have to give up 13. Huerter, no. Hunter, yes. Reddish, yes.

If that’s the case would you rather Huerter and keep the 13, or Reddish and you have to give up the 13?

Yep. He can give 10-15 mins a game, and has a big enough salary where we can flip him for something else (Covington) first chance we get.

If there really is as much interest in Jrue as perceived, we should not be paying that cost for the 6 and potentially one young player.

His contract really isn’t as bad as I thought. Owed 13 mil this year but only 1 mil next year if waived by July 21, so essentially he’s an expiring deal.

I’d imagine we’d buy him out which I’m ok wit. Go get Baynes or Noel

KOC talking about the deal with some Celtics guys LINK

First, Scalabrine is about to sob at the thought of Marcus Smart getting traded.

Mannix says the Pelicans want a top 10 pick for Jrue and lists all the obvious teams. I don't think he knows anything.

They later speculate about Jrue to Boston, Hayward to Indy and Turner + top 10 pick to NOLA. Makes much more sense than Boston getting Jrue AND Turner.

Its not really any different than the young player + top 10 pick, model everybody's been talking about.

They mentioned Danny Ainge talked about Kemba needing to be load managed next season. STRATCH HIM OFF THE LIST.

If we Got Turner plus top 10 pick.

Who do we ship Zo to and for what. With Turner and 2 1st round picks this year...this team not even using our Lakers pick is Starting to look like trouble for future Western Conference teams.

Why would we get rid of our entire starting backcourt in one offseason

Pacers would almost assuredly have to send out Oladipo in order to take back Hayward. Miami MAYBE interested in taking him on, as long as they don't pay much. Olynyk and Duncan Robinson for Oladipo seems like a cheap price, low risk high reward for Miami.

The 3 Boston picks to NYK with a young player for #8, then everything would set up for Hayward to Pacers, Jrue and Olynyk to Celtics, Turner and Robinson with 8 to Pels.

Do the damn deal Griff.

I just listened to Ainge talk about Kemba and he basically implies that Kemba isn't healthy, they'll have to manage him, and says "at some point he'll be back and ready to go."

No matter whats going on with negotiations with Boston, I can't see how its possible Kemba is involved. There's no way a GM has a press conference admitting he's not sure when a guy is going to be 100% in the middle of a trade negotiation, that player could be involved in.
