Zo sucks...cash in while there is some trend on the tire.

Really tired of all the “trade Jrue” talk. He’s been the cornerstone of this franchise since the day he got here.

No he wasn’t. So you think he’s the cornerstone over AD and Zion? Seriously?

Nature of the beast. A small market team like us has to get value back before letting FAs walk for free.
You cant beat the LAs and MIAs by roster building like they do if you are based in NOLA. You have to maximize the value of what you have or in this case the leverage while you have it.
If Jrue wants to walk after the year that is fine but if we can turn him into draft capital or young assets that may want to stick around long term that is the deal you have to make.

I don’t think that’s too bad a trade. Could end up with a nice combo of players if we can keep 13. Dedmon basically takes Favors spot for a year with Hayes getting increased playing time and I’d take Hunter or Reddish to add on the wing. One of the draft picks will be a pg. Lots of young talent to mold, and all on the same timeline.

Stan Van Gundy is very good at developing players.
Trade Holiday and Reddick for young players and picks.
Then right before Zion signs the super max go hard after free agents and win.

This past year was the year that Griffin hyped him up that way. He wasn't.

The “cornerstone” of a franchise that made the playoffs in 2 of the 7 seasons he’s been here

Appreciate what Jrue did for the Pels. The Pels stuck by him. His contract is up, we have to cash in before he walks. That’s it in a nutshell.
Now let’s turn Zo into something that is workable. Something that can make a layup.

Lonzo just needs to play off guard, and not get paid more than mid-teens on his next contract.

Making decisions based on emotion is how you make losing decisions.

I think he just doesn't realize that the fact that we're having this conversation means extension talks didn't go the way the team wanted them to.

What do we think of McNamara's latest mock offseason:
Roster would look something like:
Lonzo/Augustin/Maxey
Huerter/JJ/Hart/NAW
Ingram/Williams/Hart
Zion/Green/Melli/Ojeleye
Dedmon/Hayes/Carey(2way)
You have the ability to play a lot of different lineups including BI at the 2 and Williams at 3, or shifting down and small ball with Zion at Center with BI and Williams r Green.

FA: DJ Augustin, JaMychel Green

Do we think Williams is available at 6? A lot of smoke about teams trading up to get him.
If not, I would like to go Hayes or Haliburton at 6 and take Nesmith or Vassel at 13.

His floor is 7, as Detroit looks to have promised him they would pick him there.
I don't think he goes in the top 5 but I guess you never know.
If he's gone the Pels would take Haliburton.

I think it further reinforces a 3 team deal with Atlanta as the facilitator is the best bet for the Pels. I've gotten used to the idea of 6, Huerter + other stuff and will be disappointed if they end up with a lesser package.
