What's wrong with McCollum playing 5-10mpg at PG?

The offense is REALLY bad when cj plays point.

The offense runs much more smoothly with Jose as backup point.

For the guy defending his life about Tyus, you really want to do a S&T for a guy that is MAYBE a slight upgrade over Jose? Seems dumb to me.

This is what Utah fans think Lauri is worth

This is the same player the bulls were paying to ride the bench and was legitimately expected by some members of this board to be included in the Lonzo S&T.

I’d say I’m surprised, but people from Utah can probably believe just about anything

The bigger point is that we need to keep CJ/ Hawk at SG. Herb/ Trey need to take full SF minutes. Zion/ Trey should get most PF minutes.

I think being so restrictive with players positions is akin to cutting off your nose to save your face. We have a roster full of positionless players. We should experiment with countless lineups early in the year.

The ability to move guys around like that will make us a nightmare to gameplan against and it will allow us to absorb injury setbacks more easily

All contract talk aside y'all really think Jose is better than Tyus Jones straight up? Lol
No but certainly a better value now, and will also be a better value on his next contract if the comparison is Tyus at $15 mil.

Tyus is better than Jose.

Jose St $2mil and whatever we can get with the additional $10+ mil is better than just Tyus.

Becoming abundantly clear that this initial report was nothing other than a leverage play and/or smokescreen.

I don't get why the Kings would want Ingram. It kills their flexibility and depth. I think they should focus on elevating Murray as their #3, while building up the surrounding support pieces. They have a solid top 6, with good young pieces developing. I know they want to win now, but I don't think this move would push them any further forward..

They were and probably are a lottery team that lost six straight times to the Pelicans. They need to do something.

Holy shite.

What would it take to get Sabonis?

Sorry didn't read whole thread, is it even possible?

Yeah, like upgrade their front court with toughness and length. Adding soft BI to go with soft Sabonis and sot Fox does nothing for them.

Ainge is going to sit on Lauri and have his value tank once he gets that huge extension and they can't win big with him. Then he'll be a little older, a lot more expensive, with a lot of shine dulled.

Lauri is not worth that sort of godfather package. He's a good complimentary piece but he's like a BI...3rd option on a great team.

It would take a team losing their minds. Who is on the list? Golden State maybe? But they'd have to give up Kuminga, who is the centerpiece of their next generation.

Jake's show this morning reminds me why he's so bad. His proposal:

Pels get: Heurter, Vucevic, maybe Bulls pick of some kind?, Kings 1st
Kings get: BI
Bulls get: Barnes

Jake is just pathetic.

Id rather let BI walk for nothing. Vuc is awful and is a negative contract.

If we didn’t want JV, why on earth would we want Vucevic double the price. Damn Jake is an idiot.

Agree, Some of the stuff he talks about makes me wonder how much he really follows/understands the game as opposed to just looking for clicks for his podcasts.

He openly pushed for an extension in the media. I do not think he wanted to leave.

Definitely not “the same player”
Players can improve, and he’s been much improved and very good for the Jazz. Is he worth what they’ve been reported as trying to get for him? Probably not, but he’s not the same player he was on the Bulls. That’s like saying Sabonis isn’t good because he was a nobody on the Thunder and Pacers 7 years ago

This right here.

Compare per 36 numbers for Trey and Lauri, if Trey was able to shoot as much as Lauri everyone would say Trey is a better player. Literally all Lauri does is has better rebounding numbers.
