This specific stat hinting Jose was better? Taking Net Rtg from Jose on a team that was top of the West vs Wizards arguably the worst team in the NBA?

Do you understand what on/off is?

If the Wizards are so bad, how bad does Tyus have to be that the team performs better when he's not playing?
How come Gafford and Avdija managed to have a postive on/off on this worst team in the league?

If the Pelicans are atop the West, would'nt it be harder for Jose to have such a ridiculously high on/off as a backup?

quote:

Tyus Jones has averaged 11pts/ 6ast the last 2 years with the same steal avg as Jose.

empty stats that don't lead to winning b/c he's a terrible defender, much like his teammate Kyle Kuzma who also has a negative on/off in Washington

quote:

Jose's (3) year averages are closer to half of those #'s.

and yet, we play better than our opponent when Jose is on the court.

All contract talk aside y'all really think Jose is better than Tyus Jones straight up? Lol

I 100% agree its not a necessary move and probably wont happen.

But y'all wild for that

Dejounte Murray carried a -3.8 net rating with Atlanta. I know it’s the go to Jose stat but there’s too many variables it doesn’t account for. It should not be used to compare players

The bigger point is that we need to keep CJ/ Hawk at SG. Herb/ Trey need to take full SF minutes. Zion/ Trey should get most PF minutes.

CJ/ Hawk/ Herb
Trey/ Herb
Zion/ Trey

That's really how our minutes need to play out. Obviously maybe some Herb/ Trey at SG/ SF as well.

All we need is a cheap bruiser at PF and then (2) centers.

I like Jose a lot but if you stick with this flow then we would only be missing a better backup PG. Hopefully Jose shows tf up this year.

Kings now interested in Lauri. I wonder if Griff is losing some leverage here.

I don’t think Griff is losing leverage, I just don’t see what the kings can offer. I don’t see BI or Lauri getting traded for Barnes, Huerter and picks.

I think he is definitely trying to create leverage by leaking the BI talks, which makes sense.

Lauri > BI, IMO

If the Kings don’t have the assets for BI then what could they possibly offer for Lauri?

If the warriors are serious they should be the top contender to get Lauri. Good Young players and picks

Kings can offer picks that are worth a good amount. You’ll get less in impact players for win now mode but you have great assets moving forward, which isn’t the worst idea to build like OKC has with the new CBA. Teams are going to start valuing picks more and more. May as well get a jump if we can get the right players involved.

Could also be the kings leaking the rumor to try and gain leverage against us.

What's wrong with McCollum playing 5-10mpg at PG?

This is what Utah fans think Lauri is worth….

Ainge is going to want more…

Sacramento is not giving up Murray, this whole thing is just posturing by them to try to avoid adding an extra first or something Griff is asking for

I just don’t see the obsession over a guy that’s really not better than Ingram. He may fit a team better, but he’s not better

He may be overrated but he's better than BI imo.

This is just not true. Lauri offers absolutely nothing in the way of ball handling, he’s not a better all around scorer, and he’s on the same level defensively.

Lauri was literally the #1 option on a bad team that could shoot as much as he wanted and he averaged a whopping 23 ppg

Doesn't stop the ball. Shoots 3s > Stops ball. Shoots mid range.

Lauri creates space because he actually shoots 3s. BI just clogs the paint for Zion.

He can’t handle the ball so he doesn’t have a choice there.

BI can shoot 3’s, he just chooses not to. That doesn’t mean he cannot shoot as well as Lauri.

No, the head coach not knowing how to run action sets for BI and Zion clogs the paint.

I don’t think Lauri is an option given what Ainge will want for him, so this argument is academic at best.

BI for Kessler & their picks from the Mitchell trade then ship most of those picks for Naz Reid.
