Yeah he should be great in the PnR, he had one of the highest number of PnR ball handler possessions as an 18 year old freshman in the SEC. He should be able to work seamlessly with either Missi or Queen
Watching him against Miss State game excites me about what he can do in PnR.

Here’s 2:43 of his early season plays last season. At the time of these games he should have been in early phase of senior HS year. He is very shifty/crafty.
Something else to note about lots of the plays. Look how stagnant the other 4 players are. This required Fears to do about everything on his own. Which meant navigating thru more players as they sag off the non moving teammates. Not all plays but it gives an idea of why Fears had to take on so much workload and at such a young age.
He also didn’t start the season, came off bench. Moser coached him pretty well and started off cautious. But his talent was too great to ignore so it didn’t take long to start. This team hadn’t even made the tournament in all 3 of Moser’s prior years. Fears was a difference maker.
He did have to take on so much burdon, like shooting too many 3’s because of need not because it was a good shot to take. That likely hurt his percent. He knew even if his shot was not preferred it was better than all our other options.
He is so young and the positive of that for Pels is less bad habits for extended periods of time. Meaning he will have the best of NBA coaching starting at age 18, which will give him good habits to keep and less to overcome. Lots of upside.

My main point is not saying Pels have the best staff, I really have no idea. But NBA coaching is much better than college. They have so many more resources and staffers. He’s going into the best that basketball has to offer in the world and thats going to really help him grow.
He’ll have growing pains and the game/players are all faster. But he has some skills that aren’t teachable, he’s a natural. He can learn to overcome his weaknesses.

I just will never understand drafting a perimeter player that can't shoot 3's in this day and age of the NBA.

Well he was supposed to be a senior in HS and did shoot 85% at the line, so you can take a risk on the projection with that combo.
If he was 20 and still shooting that bad? Yeah that would be a risk. He's 18 turning 19 when the season starts.

Fears is like another Russell Westbrook.

Fears might have the better handle and be more crafty. But Russ has the better athleticism. Well had lol.

Is it supposed to be a bad thing if he turns out to be a 9x all-star?

He won't be a 9x all-star if he can't shoot in this day and age.
He is only 19, when season starts, so the good part is he has time to develop. A lot of time.
My concern is he be closer to Kira Lewis or will he be closer fox?

He is nothing like Kira Lewis.
Just look at his dribble and finish with both the right and left.

His change of pace is next level, insanely quick acceleration. Very very good prospect to grab at the 7. If he can hit that 3 reliably off the dribble, he will simply be unguardable with that stop and go burst.

I see Tyrese Maxey when I watch his highlights

I see a lot of Jamal Murray. I know Murray was a much better shooter but the way they snake around the midrange and create separation looks like Murray to me.

Man I feel bad for Peavy in that interview. Queen isn't the best public speaker/ interviewee but I like that he acknowledged Peavy there and gave him some love while answering that question.

yet they always slip in the draft
Valid point.
On the flip side the two recent high draft pick point guards I can think of are Fultz and Ben Simmons.
NBA somehow hasn’t figured out how to scout and project point guards yet.
