I haven't seen anything remotely on this.

Starting JRichardson and Herb Jones last night REALLY makes me question him.

Atm I’m going
Dyson Jose
CJ Jones
Bi naji
Jaxson Murphy
Val nance

The CJ at pg thing doesn’t work and Jones/Murphy don’t need to be starting.

So you want 3 of our 5 starters to not be shooting threats? You also left out Josh Richardson completely.

Now compare how many games each has played since being with the Pelicans…

I mean, he was pretty bad for the 1st 43 minutes before he took over at the end.

Before taking over at the end, he had 27 points, not terribly efficiently, twice as many turnovers assists, and if anyone watched the game just really embarrassing lack of effort on defense the entire night.

But he did lead us back in the final few minutes.

I did. At the end the Pels had fewer points than the Raptors. CJ and BI getting hot in the 4th did not make up for the hole they helped dig with bad shooting and turnovers in the first half.

Also, this isn't a BI sucks thread, I am not a BI hater. Like I said in the OP, this is the stretch where we need BI and CJ to step up, I hope they do. But if they don't, does that mean we should change directions because they aren't doing what you expected them to do? The Pels are currently 12-13 in games where BI plays, and 5-8 with BI but without Zion. That equates to a 31 win team over 82 games. Even with Zion out, I'd expect a team lead by BI to play better than a 31 win team. Wouldn't you?

Bingo

I can't give you FULL credit for going the F off late in the game and almost leading a comeback when you were one of the reasons why were down so big to get to that point.

I believe we are 3-7 since BI returned from injury.

OKC gets BI, Kira, and however many picks (them picks will be shitwater now that the lakers were GIFTED 5 competent players for 1 first and a few 2nds).

Pels get SGA and 1 of the 3 between (jaylen Williams the center, Lu Dort, or Isaiah Joe the 40% 3pt shooter

Zion has his running mate for the next 6 years

OKC has a core of Giddy, Jalen Williams, BI, Chet

We ran a lot of double bigs last year, we seem to have legit left that in the rear view mirror

Here is some interesting data that TigerInAtl provided, minutes were prior to Raptors game.

**************
Nance and JV have played 72 minutes this season. Nance and Billy, 69 minutes. Nance and Hayes, 117 minutes.
***************
You are doing no favors to BI, CJ, and for that matter Val or Nance when they’re at the 5 by rotating small wings that additionally are not shooting at an above average clip. What you are giving up defensively is not being returned offensively due to Pels constantly facing set defenses after being scored upon, and below average shooting once Pels are into their offense.

Zion, although improving, certainly was not in contention for All-Pro defensive laurels before his injury, but what he did provide was added paint presence. Since he went down Pels have substituted TM3, Herb, BI, and Naji at the 4. Despite their effort, they’re constantly punching above their weight (literally) in the paint.

Watching the games, once opponents are in the paint, Pels offer little resistance to power moves, put backs, or kick outs to shooters. Opponents feel little to no pressure or presence in that area. Pels end up inbounding the ball out of the net.

Dame and CJ consistently anchored a 4-6 seed western conference team. Ingram and CJ should do likewise for the pelicans. And if they aren’t, a rethink may be in order.

the problem is that CJ is the PG running our show....we need a real PG so CJ can go back to catch and shoot like he did in portland..

If the picks are shite, why in the world would OKC do that?

Also, OKC has more picks than they know what to do with, why would they downgrade their best player for even more picks?

Yeah, to get an SGA for BI framework to work you'd probably need a 3rd team not looking to rebuild that winds up with pick 2-4 who would trade that for BI. I see several teams currently in the lottery that might fit that though.

Would be the only way and more feasible for sure, but I still don't see any incentive right now for OKC to want to trade SGA.

He's arguably a top 10 NBA player right now, you don't trade those guys away unless they're disgruntled and want out.

They’re not trading SGA and I doubt SGA wants to go anytime soon.

Exactly

Name the last 30ppg scorer and/or top 10 player in the NBA type dude who was traded that wasn't a KD or AD or CP3 etc. type situation where they wanted out.
