How important is Tim Frazier?

It seems AD's best friend on the squad is Frazier. With that said, what he does on the court aside from the equation. How valuable do you guys think he is to locker room? He seems like a guy everyone on the team enjoys being around. I feel the same way about diablo. Whether he plays or not he is a guy who is always bringing positive energy on the bench. That kind of energy has to boost moral, and account for something.

Edit: I say Frazier is AD's best friend on the squad based off his social media pages. It seems like the two are always together when he posts. Whether it is at the practice facility, or playing a game of fifa or something at ad's crib.

Hopefully we trade for a bigger/better backup ball handler as part of a trade for a more significant player and Timmy can go to just being a cheerleader and AD’s bud without stepping foot on the court.

Figuratively speaking, the pels cut Frazier for a 2 way contract guard that may have a little more skill than him. How much does that piss off AD?

If the Pels are winning, AD wouldn't care if you traded or cut his friends. If they are losing, it makes his frustration 10 percent worse. That simple.

That's not how it works. 2 way contracts are separate from the normal 15 roster spots, that's actually how they were able to add Harrison, because it was a 2 way.

If it's a good move AD won't care. But when you consider how much time Fraizer has had in the system you're not going to find anyone available on a 10 day contract that's better than him even if they are technically more talented.

Where he's more likely to lose his job is when vets on non playoff teams start getting bought out in Feb/March. Let's say Memphis continues their downward spiral and Garrett Temple is bought out. You have to cut one of Frazier/Okafor/Kenrich Williams to make room for him. The team has Okafor locked into a minimum next year so they won't cut him. Then it's down to Frazier or Williams. For Basketball Reasons you cut Williams since Frazier is more useful on the court after adding Temple. But they might see Williams as a developing prospect they want to hold onto. They already gave him a roster spot when he refused to take a 2 way. I think Frazier would possibly get cut in that kind of situation and I don't see why AD would be mad about Frazier getting cut to add a good wing like Temple.

BUT before we even get there it's probably likely we free up a roster spot or 2 with some of the trades that we think might possibly happen. So none of this probably even comes close to happening.

It seems pretty clear that Tim is AD's best friend in the NBA period. Even when Tim left they still commented to each other. He needs to stay on the team, just not see the court much. Think James Jones's last 3 to 4 years with Lebron.

I should have been more specific. I meant as far as giving a two way a guaranteed contract and cutting Frazier. I really just wanted to see how much value is put on locker room chemistry, when it comes down to choosing your players at the end of the roster. All good insights, thank you for the replies.

Tim is his best friend on the team. AD was answering questions on IG live years ago and he said that’s who he was closest to on the team.

Clark would be first to be cut in this situation IMO.. Frazier is our 1st PG off the bench, and Frank has passed Clark also

Clark played pretty well down the stretch last year and has championship playoff experience. I don't think he's a sure thing to be cut either. But as I said, the odds of us making a trade for a big money player are high which I think makes the odds of sending out more players than we get back freeing up roster spots high.

You would cut Williams.
He adds nothing to this team or you make an uneven trade when getting rid of Wes or Solo and sign an additional ball handler on the buyout market.

I don’t have any problems keeping Frazier on the team if he and AD are so close

No, I've been stalking the board for a few years. I made this account a few months ago.

Being that half the board is worried about keeping AD happy, while the other half is ready for him to go. I thought this would be a valid topic of conversation for the people worried about keeping him happy.
