I mean, Jordan shot 23 times a game (50%) and averaged 5 apg. Selfish amirite?

technically yes (and ya, the word has negative connotations), but in the basketball world, being selfish isn't bad if you make it. I agree with you.

If people want to talk selfish, look at Brandon Jennings, not Ellis. He's a "PG", shoots 16 times a game, and hovers below 40%.

yep...he's a chucker. He's selfish in a bad way.

...do not want at all.

I was actually agreeing.

...I think taking that many more shots than everyone else on your team is technically selfish, but if you're shooting a good percentage, it doesn't matter.

I hate chuckers...everyone CAN shoot it, but not everyone can make it.

I think I was agreeing too . . . Just added a bit

Glad you guys nabbed Abu Nazir. Big fan of the show!

Won't see that on PTI. No cooking either.

NOLA, baby.

figured this could go here:

Alex Kennedy (Hoopsworld) tweeted that a source told him Danny Granger has not only patellar tendinitis, but also a hole in his knee cartilage.

Don't know what that means exactly, but it doesn't sound good

ESPN

quote:

Eric Gordon's name has been in the rumor mill, however he's not concerned about Thursday's trade deadline.

"I'm not really worried about it," Gordon told The Times-Picayune. "I've just got to go out and play my game and look forward to this week. Whatever happens, happens. It's happened to be before where I was traded. Business is business. I really don't worry about that. I'm just focused on this team."

Gordon is one of the few players who can control their future this season as he has the ability to veto all trades until July 14. The collective bargaining agreement gives Gordon this power since the New Orleans Hornets matched the $58.36 million offer sheet he signed with the Phoenix Suns.

There is a chance the Hornets will consider trading Gordon in July after his veto power expires. One possible scenario could see him head to Indiana for Danny Granger in the summer. Both players need to prove they can stay healthy for the duration of this season.

It means "no thanks" to him.

The only way I see a Gordon deal before this summer is if someone gives us an offer we can't refuse. I don't see that happening, though, as most proposed offers tend to see us giving up Gordon and either Lopez or Anderson for lesser talents.

I think Rivers is going to be much better once EG10 is traded for a SF or PG and he starts getting more PT. His confidence is improving every game. I am impressed.

Its officially official:

Chris Broussard ?@Chris_Broussard
Sources: New Orleans has made Eric Gordon available for trade. Trade not likely though as clubs concerned about EG's health going forward.
But Golden State, bite....

Prolly So but I doubt we trade him this year unless a team is desperate for a 2 guard

Which means he'll be even more of a malcontent and his now "pretty good" attitude will be back down the shitter.

If he really wants out then him saying what he told the Times Picayune is the best way to go about it on his end. This way we don't lose any leverage with teams.

What Broussard is reporting really isn't news. Aside from AD, and maybe Ryno, everyone is potentially "available" for the right price.

Hopefully, the Hornets can make a trade centered around Thompson from Golden State or Parsons from Houston.
