Even if we tank and are the worst team in the league we won’t get Flagg.

This franchise is fricking cursed and they refuse to fire Willie Green because he’s a nice guy so they don’t deserve Flagg. I hope we get him but who else is an option in the top 5 and how much of a drop off are they from Flagg. I don’t follow college basketball much.

Good thing there are at minimum 3 good talents this year.

There’s quality in the top 5 or 6. I don’t think any of these guys are generational talents. So just remaining in the bottom 2/3 puts us in a good spot regardless if it’s not #1.

Top 5 potential names to look at for the draft:

Flagg (Duke)
Harper (Rutgers)
Bailey (Rutgers)
Demin (BYU)
Jakucionis (Illinois)

Then you still have guys like Tre Johnson who’s shooting very well but doesn’t do much else so far in Texas and probably the most athletic guy in the draft in Edgecombe at Baylor (hurt right now).

Flagg would be nice but there are some very nice players in the draft as consolation. Besides Flagg isn't a generational talent.

Been saying this for years.

This team has been gifted far too much over the last decade and has done absolutely nothing with it. They will never be worth a damn.

NBA will ensure Flagg or Harper won't go to NOLA.

Yeah they’ve really put the screws to us letting us win the AD and Zion drafts. If anything, the NBA appears to have a soft spot for us when we hit the gutter with these damn stars.

NOLA keeps getting generational stars because we are great at developing them before they reach the big markets. If anything, the League loves that.

The lottery is literally the only thing we aren't cursed at. I fully expect us to win the lottery again.

I think part of the curse is the dangling lure of hope that we get from winning the lottery every time there is a "generational talent" available.

I fully expect to win the lottery and get Flagg and it to go exactly like it always goes.

We need to just draft euros until we find our version of Jokic, Doncic, or Giannis. After enduring this Zion experience, I want somebody that just wants to work and get better at their craft, and doesn't need to be in NY or LA.
Sadly there aren't any of those prospects at the top of this years class.

The NBA will send him to Utah.

I don't particularly want the top pick. I'd like us to come away with 2-3 early 1st guys to start building around. Totally flip the roster and reload the war chest for the next few seasons..

What is a generational talent?

He’s only 17 and could be in an NBA rotation today. His game at that age, at that size, is pretty special. Perhaps there’s some prospect fatigue but as we head to March his star will only become brighter

CP3 and AD were legit wasted gifts

Zion doesn't belong in that conversation, the problems he's had are likely exaggerated here but I think would plague him anywhere. He isn't passionate about the sport and that's why he doesn't take his diet, workouts, and honing his craft seriously.
